Retailers Say L.A. Noire Will Challenge You On April 5
We've been waiting on the arrival of L.A. Noire for over four years now, but the wait should soon be over.
Developed by Team Bondi and initially set to be a PlayStation 3 exclusive, this multiplatform crime thriller has all sorts of promise. Last we heard, it had a vague spring 2011 launch window but now, various retailers have decided on a release date. It isn't official yet but GameStop, GameFly and Amazon all say the highly anticipated title will hit store shelves on April 5. That does happen to be a Tuesday and it falls in line with earlier rumors, so it's likely accurate. The game that will have players interrogate suspects, determine from their facial expressions whether or not they're telling the truth, solve cases based on real-life crimes from the 1940s, and explore an atmospheric city could be evolutionary in terms of interactive storytelling. Rockstar calls it an "open-ended challenge" even though we won't have full reign of the city as we do in Grand Theft Auto.
We'll let you know when Rockstar reveals the finalized release date; chances are, it'll arrive with the new trailer they've teased. That should be available very soon.
