Helghast Invade Home Central Plaza
PlayStation Home has always served to enhance big-name exclusives, and that goes double for Killzone 3.
As revealed at the PlayStation Blog, the Central Plaza will be transformed into the last surviving ISA base as of January 27. Home must be defended against the invading Helghast! In order to help, you have to try the Central Plaza Defender, which is a first-person shooter that forces you to face down wave after wave of enemies. Everything from airships to vehicles will be included, and other features like first aid and repair kits will serve to amp up the overall depth. Complete challenges to land cool Home rewards and if you can manage to finish all three levels, you'll net three Unlock Points, which can be used towards new weapons and abilities in the KZ3 multiplayer element. Perhaps neatest of all- you can actually pre-order the game through Amazon straight through a kiosk located in the Central Plaza. Doing so will get you:
- Limited edition Killzone 3 jetpack for your HOME avatar, not available anywhere else
- Unlock and Load Pack, instant access to three Unlock Points to use on the weapon or ability of your choice in Killzone 3 multiplayer
- Retro Map Pack, featuring two of the most popular maps from Killzone 2
If you've been living under a rock, Killzone 3 launches on February 22 in North America, and many are anticipating one of the best titles of the generation. Guerrilla Games has worked hard to provide us with a memorable FPS; if you were involved in the beta testing, you know what we're talking about. If not, remember that the beta will go public in February, so you can get a taste of the multiplayer greatness ahead of time. You now you want to.

I remember HD space was one of the reasons I stayed out of Home. I think I might have to go back for this, it sounds awesome.

Yeah, that's what I want to do too, so I've been watching eBay for a 500GB external HD to just so I could do the transfers back & forth. I did mange to pick up a brand new 320GB Seagate FreeAgent Go portable HD while I was waiting for only $30 shipped free.
But I just bought the Onlive console & controller package along with the extra composite cable package, & then found that there's no way I can hook it up to my older SDtv(wrong inputs).
So now I've had to put buying the 500HD, plus that 500 external HD on the back burner while I hunt down the best deal on a smaller $450 to $500 "starter" HDtv, 40" to 47".
And all this time I was trying to wait(& save that TV money) till the 2nd gen 3-D HD's came way down in price(and hopefully glasses-less).
GRRRR

Damn, I just hope I've still got enough GB's left in my ole 60gigger to re-install Home temporarily just to check it out.
