Atlus Director: "How To Catherine"
If you've got a Japanese PSN account and wish to try the Catherine, game director Katsura Hashino has some tips.
He talks about the demo in "How to Catherine" at the game's official blog, and you can find an English summary at Andriasang. First of all, don't be too discouraged if you find the demo difficult; you have to get accustomed to the puzzle-based platforming gameplay and besides, the difficulty is purposely a little higher in the sample. It's set to Easy, but let's just say it's harder than the Easy mode in the final game. For the record, the demo features two nightmare stages, and Atlus did this for a specific reason: they wanted to prove the game was more than just an "erotic adult gal game" by shoving a lot of freaky, hardcore gameplay down our throats. ...and there's nothing wrong with that. Now, if you can get a firm grasp of the gameplay in the demo, Hashino says you should be able to finish the story in Catherine without too much trouble. Just remember, it hasn't been confirmed for the US yet.
But if you're still stuck, he does have a couple of helpful tips that you can read through the link above. That "undo" feature certainly sounds handy, even if it's only available in Easy mode.

maybe this is the perfect excuse to brush up on my Japanese.
i actually had to learn it in year 6, well obviously not fluent but we had painful Japanese classes twice a week for a year and the teacher spoke nothing but japanese so we were forced to learn it.
