Max Anarchy Is Now Anarchy Reigns, Teaser Released

What we thought was called "Max Anarchy" now has the official name of Anarchy Reigns, a screenshot, and a brief teaser trailer to boot.

Platinum Games is currently working on a massive online multiplayer brawler, with nasty weapons, insane action, and a recognizable playable character; Jack from Platinum's MadWorld. Then they release this teaser trailer, which doesn't show us anything of the gameplay, but is designed to get us pumped for the incoming action. The music and the visual combines to make a pretty strong point...i.e., play this game, or we'll find you.

Anarchy Reigns is set to release this fall for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and it's definitely an interesting project. The irony being that Platinum just wasn't into online multiplayer of any kind until now; neither of last year's hits - Bayonetta or Vanquish - offered the option. Now, we get a game that's all about the multiplayer and yet somehow, it's still focused on fighting action.

It should be intriguing, at the very least.

I like the name change. The other one reminds me of the failure Max Steel. I'm still hoping for a substantive release from Platinum, but since online multiplayer doesn't grab me much I don't think this will be it.

this is a good thing; this being the multiplayer aspect of the announcement. bayonetta was great and vanquish was great also.

Possibly the worst screenshot of all time.

Based on that, and the use of a character from a sad attempt at hard core gaming on the Wii, I will most definitely be passing on this.

have not enjoyed one of there games since, well, never!
madworld was fun for the first 2 levels, than i started to get bored because 3,4,5,6,7,8 ect ect were exactly the same as the first 2!
vanquish and bayonetta were not much different!
draw a picture, copy paste, copy paste, copy paste, theres your new book!

This is only a teaser trailer,i agree with Guyver. I need to see more, a gameplay trailer footage would be nice.
