I don't have any but I want Dead Space 2 for sure. I'm kind of surprised that EA is down this year, what did they have last year that did so well?

Dead Space 2 is selling a bit more on xbox, but I have a sneaking suspicion that is because of the simultaneous release of the very capable LBP2.

I want Hot Pursuit. Nothing but good news coming from gamers around the net for Criterion's latest. Dead Space is another one I want of course, but no purchase yet. I'm still working through the rehab the first one put me in.

As of right now, none. But I saw a Dead Space commercial on the tv that convinced me to pick it up in the near future. I believe that it was the first commercial that actually made want to buy something since the PS3 commercial from late '07.

surprising considering how crap HP was!
all they had to do was bring the original into next gen systems but no even that was too hard!
why did they have to add races?
if i want NFS undercover, or carbon, or one with races ill go buy that game!
the whole point of hot pursuit, is exactly that!

MoH was a good game, not great, but definitely the best war game ive ever played!
i really liked the teamwork feel to the game, instead of shooting everything on sight you were encouraged to watch and see what happens. sneak behind enemies and surprise them.
wish more games would do that, instead of the they magically see you even though your behind a freaking wall!

DS2 was ok, just feels like they took everything that was good about the first game out and re released it.

the level design did not help much either, how am i suppose to be scared if i can just run away from the enemy?
the thing that gave the original game its atmosphere, the thing that made it so good was it made the player feel claustrophobic!
your constantly swinging around yelling what was that!
this, though does not, simply because your in such a wide open space you dont care because if something did come up, no problem you can just run.
in the original game you could not because, well you could either run forwards or backwards that was it.
in this theres no corridors, your constantly in open space so the world is your playground!
not to mention since its so open you never feel overwhelmed.
in the first game i was constantly panicking yelling hurry up and freaking reload god dam it!
DS2 does not though, because since its so open if your ambushed just run away.
simple!
than theres the enemy types.
you fight the same freaking enemies from chapter 1 to chapter 15!
the level design and the lack of enemies and the lack of enemy types has really spoiled this game!
change it back to the corridors of the original, give us some really cool scary boss fights, and add in some new enemy types and this would of been the perfect game!
O, forgot to mention the story SUCKS!
come on, issac is loosing his mind, they could of played on the insanity card, have heaps of things happen than hint to their reality like what alan wake does.
go play that, and you will see how insomnia should be done!

I was also actually underwhelmed by NFS:HP. I thought the game was great, but not great like 90/100 great. I expected cockpit in every racing game by now, but I guess Criterion doesn't do them yet. 60 fps would've been nice too, although not a big deal. I also wanted split-screen, and wow this game doesn't have one. Only thing I like about the game is the online features. Physics is ok to me, but Police Chases are a bit too unrealistic. I give Most Wanted an edge on pursuits due to realism.

I got the feeling while reading your post that it belonged on IGN, not here.

While your points are valid, they sure came across as immature. I've never been a big fan of sarcasm.

Sure, the controls took some getting used to in Hot Pursuit, but once you got over that learning curve it was really quite fun. More fun if your friends are playing since there's a strong focus on multiplayer.

Dead Space 2 I'm currently working through. Can only play it for half an hour at a time cos it scares the life out of me!! Love it!! And with gameplay that great, I'm willing to overlook any tiny flaws in the storyline, which as ______________ mentioned are small and rather insignificant.

Medal of Honor I didn't bother with. With the average reviews and all my friends on either Bad Company 2 or Black Ops, I just couldn't justify the purchase.

i could not get into the controls because every time i asked the car to turn by the time it did i was already in the wall!
the pursuits in all the other NFS games are so much more fun than this, NFS most wanted is still and always will be one of my favorite games ever, especially because of the pursuits!

as for DS2 how the hell is it scary!?
i mean, im not exactly a hard person to scare but its not in the slightest scary!
in fact DS was more scary than this!
only things that slightly scared me were when you were walking around and a corpse on the ground would leap up and attack you.
but even that was not scary, nothing in comparison to doom 3 or F.E.A.R.
now they were scary!!!!!!!

I think blankguy is pretty entertaining. He doesn't put on airs like others, he writes from the hip, and he seems to be a diverse gamer that plays alot of games, which is something I respect from a fellow gamer standpoint.

@Porkchop - They are not enteraining....they are rants. _______ hardly ever puts any useful information in said rants, and continuously bashes games prior to release and then keeps his prior viewpoints once the game has released.

I've wondered multiple times if he actually plays the games that he bashes.

The only good thing about this rant, is that he didn't break the page with his overuse of capitalized drawn out words and excessive punctuation.

None, but Dead Space 2 will be a bargain purchase later this year...hopefully before the summer. Hot Pursuit is a no go and MoH isn't my cup of tea.

I have Hot Pursuit, which I played for about a week then went back to GT5. It's not necessarily because the game is better than the other, but in GT5, I'm more involved in the community more so than HP, and GT5's community is bigger since GT5 is exclusive (and global) so everyone would be playing it on ps3 as to NFS:HP players are split in different platforms. Also GT5 is continuing to grow.

Anyway... yeah, NFS is a great game, but it's a bit short-lived to me in terms of replay value.

I think it has some legs, but nothing compared to it's spiritual predecessor - Burnout Paradise, or the direct competition - GT5. GT5 is by far the deepest of the three, although Burnout has a pick up and play fun that the other two don't quite match. For casual racing fun, it's Burnout, for racing sim and car collection madness - GT5. Hot Pursuit satisfies my desire to see traffic police catch the guy that just about t-boned me while he was running a red light. All three have their place, and I like them all.

NFS Hot Pursuit is a great game, ,but GT5 took my away from it. Of course WKC has addicted me to georama improvements now, so both racing games are languishing. I'll get back into GT5 in due course though. Once the RPG mood is shaken.

I haven't bought a lot of EA games in the last two years, I don't like their action games, and Madden - which used to be an every year purchase - has been poor on the PS3, and despite huge improvements last year, the franchise mode just plain sucks. EA just doesn't make 'fun' games very often. Hot Pursuit being an exception. Hopefully, they will get back to fun soon.

I love football. There isnt many football games out there, Madden is the best and sadly it sucks. I have high hopes for Madden 12, Madden 11 had many problems and I would like to see a new feature that allows you too build your own franchise from the ground up. Kind of like Ultimate team but in franchise mode.
But it needs more work on the defenders and Receivers fighting for the ball, Catching on side lines and you have to be able to catch the ball in the back of the end zone too. You at least got to make it where the players look like they know where the ball is, blocking needs to improve a lot, tackling needs to be improved, I'm tired of seeing my guy, opponent diving and going right threw the ball carrier, the football going threw players hands and it is way to easy to score.
I can go on a long while naming the problems with madden, EA has to fix it, they need to bring back the fun in there games.

Yep, agree on all counts. There was a sweetspot on the PS2, I think Madden '06 was the last great one on that platform for me. The franchise mode had a good balance of features and depth. I wish that they had not messed things up.

MFS: HP: ant buying another NFS until they go back to underground style racing. MFS:S2 is looking really cool but I think GT5 will take care of my simulator/racing needs for a long while.

Medal of Honor: I was planning on getting MoH long before it came out but it just didn't do it for me, I was hoping it would show Black ops whats up but I'm affraid those millions of people who are playing that game are brain dead, got nothing between them ears.

DS2: DS2 is just not my cup of tea, I hate tea...

I own Dead Space 2. Will be going thru the original Dead Space and DS: Extractions before I enjoy Dead Space 2. In between all of that I'll be watching the Dead Space movies as well. This is one sweet franchise.

Have NFS:HP. I like it but I suck at racing games. MOH was really good. There were a couple glitches that made me feel like it wasn't as polished as Black Ops but I like it a lot. And you can find it really cheap now. Haven't played any Dead Space game so I will need a rental or 1 hour trial before I would buy Dead Space. Busy with Mass Effect 2 now anyway. And waiting for Killzone 3.

Only got to have MOH. I suck at racing (maybe that's why GT5 isn't getting much play time) and I panic at games like DS (so sue me). It was pretty ok, but not very memorable. SP: it suddenly ended when it got interesting. MP, not that many guns, and climbing/ jumping over objects is a bit tricky.

I have NFS, thanks to PSXE, but I'm still watching from a good price drop on both, the MOH Ultimate Edition & Deap Space 2. Or when there's another good buy 2, Get 1 free deal somewhere(with free shipping if on-line).

But even that small sale's on hold for a bit because I can't hook up my new On-live console to my 32" Sharp SD TV, so now my priority is to hunt down my very 1st HDTV.
Damn, damn, damn, one store was selling a 60" 3D-HD Mitsubishi for only $699, & a 73" 3D-HD for $899(glasses extra on both deals)

But now that I should be getting the money for it either this week or next, I can't even frigging remember where I saw the ad, or if it might have been in one of my email deals I get, or on a website.
