Inversion Lets You Toy With Gravity One Year From Now
When we first heard about the game in 2009, it sounded like a nifty, original shooter with lots of potential.
But then it dropped off the charts for a while, and we started to assume the worst. As it turns out, the game hasn't disappeared; it has merely been pushed back a bit, and we now have a new release date: Saber Interactive's sci-fi thriller will launch on February 7, 2012...so yeah, almost exactly one year from now. Namco will bring the title to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and although many may dismiss it, the facts are intriguing: creating isolated zero-gravity fields sounds fun.
And although we haven't really seen any gameplay yet, we do have some commentary along with a promising slideshow:
We're a little surprised to see a solidified release date so far in advance, especially for a little-known title. But perhaps we'll learn a lot more about Inversion as 2011 progresses and ideally, the details we uncover will make us excited for the final product.

I think this is rather sad actually, now that I think about it.

if anything that applies to PC, racing games, platformers, action games, puzzle games dont bode well with keyboards.
shooters, RPGs and RTS games are really only genres which suit keyboards and mouse.
its because shooters always sell so well, and there easy to do.
platformers, action games, dont normally sell as well as shooters do and they are harder to make so its a double negative.
i find it really ironic that last gen we had heaps of open world games, but they were really hard to do because of RAM limitations, which explains all the annoying pop in, but now that consoles have decent amounts and pop in is now a thing of the past they have almost disappeared!
publishers are stuck in a mindset that nothing will sell well unless its a shooter, and it has MP.
tis why we have seen so few platformers, and tis why we have seen AC, DS2 and co gain MP.
not that its a bad thing, DS2s MP is so much fun, but still cant feel like its taken away from the game it feels unfinished.

it is the audience, rather than the hardware.
i just cant understand how people can play the same styled game over and over again, only reason i enjoyed portal, heavy rain, desus ex, infamous, so much is because there so different than the other games out there.
