PS3 Owners Go Back To The Future On February 15

If you hadn't noticed, that Back to the Future downloadable game received a fair amount of critical acclaim when it released for the PC late last year.

Now, PlayStation 3 owners in North America can expect the first Episode of Back to the Future: The Game to arrive on February 15. Appropriately entitled, "It's About Time," we are re-introduced to two classic characters in movie history: Marty and Doc. Christopher Lloyd has given his recognizable voice to the game as he becomes a virtual Doc, and the storyline was created in collaboration with "Back to the Future" trilogy co-writer/co-producer Bob Gale. This will be the first of five total Episodes; they're scheduled to release each month and they should feature "incredible story twists, turns and cliffhangers!" For $19.99, you get all the episodes, which will be delivered when they become available, and that ain't too shabby. Don't you prefer a one-time fee?

Playing as Marty McFly, we will receive "an experience true to the films," and based on what we've seen and heard so far, this should be well worth the investment. When you pay your $20, you will receive the first Episode immediately, and then you just have to wait to get the other Episodes in following months. You know, kinda like a short magazine subscription. At any rate, we will most certainly look into this one; expect a review.

Really enjoyed the first episode. They have the feel of the movies down pat and the voice acting is done really well. Looking forward to the rest of the series. PS3 players that like adventure games and/or loved the movies, are in for a treat with this. Now I just have to wait until Feb 15 for episode 2 to release.

This is awesome and for only $20!! I love the movies so much! I own the trilogy on VHS, DVD and Bluray!! :) Cannot get enough of them. The first movie is my favorite. I hear the Power of Love by Huey Lewis and the News and the whole trilogy flashes through my mind. I thought this would be like a March release so to see it just 10 days from now is an added bonus!!! Who knows we could be looking at the next Telltale business plan. Maybe a Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter or Pirates adventure series next!! Cannot wait to try this out.

How many episodes are expected? It's a little nerve wrecking to be forking over 20 when game studios can go bankrupt over night. I'd rather give them the 20 when the episodes are all bundled together already.

Anyway, sounds reasonable for a little BttF adventure.

5 Episodes for $20 is a very good deal. Telltale is not going bankrupt EVER! :) They have to many Lego and now this type of Adventure games available. They also have Lego Pirates of the Caribbean coming out soon.

Telltale Games has been around for years and their games are highly acclaimed and popular. I don't think anybody has to worry about them going belly up.

Aren't the LEGO games done by Traveller's Tales, not Telltale?

"Aren't the LEGO games done by Traveller's Tales, not Telltale?"

Yes. Telltale has nothing to do with any of the Lego games.
