Tekken Tag Tournament 2: New Info
It was quite possibly the biggest launch title for the PS2 and now, over a decade later, the sequel is coming to light.
Famitsu has been offering new details on Namco's Tekken Tag Tournament 2, and the latest report talks about the new game's "Stage Gimmick" system. It's a little confusing based on the translation but it seems our partner - this is Tekken TAG, after all - may end up in an advantageous environmental position. The example Fmaitsu gave is when you slam an opponent into a wall; that wall breaks, and he goes flying through it to land in a new area. In that new area, it just so happens that your partner is waiting for the hapless victim, and continues to beat the tar out of him. They also have revealed the game's item system and this time, those items aren't just for show. No, they can actually be used to give yourself the edge...it seems weapons like a bat and a "hammer head" will be featured.
Okay, so that's a little Soul Calibur influence, but we're okay with that. As for confirmed characters, we don't have a full roster list but the magazine gave readers glimpses of Kazuya Mishima (well, of course), Ling Xiaoyu, Zafina, and Bob. Producer Katsuhiro Harada also added that all playable characters from Tekken 6 will return. So who's up for this?

I'm not particularly a big time tag fan--I'm more of a 'mono e mono' kind of fighter. But with it being a Tekken game, I understand the fight system well enough to have good fun with it.
I just got my HRAP3 stick in today. And holy heck! This thing is huge, thick, heavy and awesome. I plugged it in right away to test out it's awesome'ness. My old school arcade skills didn't fail me, I pulled off Paul's Ultimate Tackle on my first try. Finally, I'll be able to play complicated characters like Nina with greater proficiency.
And now that I've got a proper stick I plan on giving SF4 some more love'n.
Maybe not as much love'n as this legendary evo SF3 player from 2004, Daigo.

Fast forward to about 2:30min in to see the exciting conclusion.
mad skillz, indeed.

this is basically what happens when the boy who practiced their character for hours alone in their bedroom felt they reached a level of being unstoppable. That is until they took their game online, where they got their butt kicked hard against human competition. But their pride tells them their loss couldn't have been attributed to anything else other than "the other guy cheated and this game sucks" 'tucks tail behind their legs and cowardly runs away'
let the whiners complain and run away to their non-competitive games. The games that won't remind them that there are other gamers in the world better than they are. And they can continue to live within in their little world that revolves around them.
..phew, man I sound like a jerk =p
I decided to have just a little fun with this =)

So, in this tag version you can switch characters and use items? Sounds good but i've never played a tag version to know if it works well.
The ideal of using you favorite characters in a match seems epic.

As for the weapons, sounds silly, but then Tekken has just soiled themselves, can't believe that stupid Alisa from T6... horrible.
