PixelJunk Shooter 2 Earns March 1 Release Date

PixelJunk Shooter remains one of our favorite PSN downloadable titles, which is why we're excited for the sequel.

And as revealed at the PlayStation Blog, PixelJunk Shooter 2 will arrive exclusively on the Network on March 1. Q Games president and executive producer Dylan Cuthbert says the new effort "is packed even more full of lovely gushing liquid action across three entirely different worlds." Plus, let's not forget about the new online versus mode, which features over 20 weapons and abilities; this really expands on the overall appeal, doesn't it? Furthermore, he hints that his team has more announcements waiting in the hopper and if you wish to learn more, feel free to tune into the PixelJunk Radio podcast. Q Games really knows what they're doing in the digital realm; the PixelJunk franchise is always original and entertaining, and these titles prove to be excellent little diversions.

We figure these games are just more and more important these days. We need more variety and diversity; it's nice to be able to kick back with something smaller and simpler. It just eradicates stress, you know?

"full of lovely gushing liquid action across three entirely different worlds"

Sounds like a sex romp in Mass Effect.

With all the psychedelic colors and sounds in these games the last thing it does is remove stress. Makes you feel like a crackhead more than anything. Someone walked in on me playing this I'd feel like I'd need to explain myself. "Oh hey dude, sorry let me turn this off. Whaah? Nah duude I wasn't. DuUde come on man I wasn't. Where you going man? Come ooon duude, come back!"

I think it's far too slow-paced for that...
