Rocksteady Not Bringing The Caped Crusader Online
It's probably the same comment we'd get from Sony Santa Monica in regards to God of War.
But perhaps Batman fans were hoping Rocksteady Studios would add a multiplayer mode of some kind into the upcoming Arkham City. ...you know, like almost every other title in existence today. But studio director Sefton Hill has confirmed that no such mode will exist, and that Batman remains strictly offline. A reader has jubilantly told us (he must think the addition of multiplayer would have an adverse effect on the single-player campaign, and he might be right) that Hill just recently made the clarification-
"There have been a number of rumors circulating about a multiplayer mode in Batman: Arkham City so let me start by saying, once and for all, that Batman: Arkham City is a single-player only experience."
They did consider it, apparently, but in the end, they just couldn't find a way to maintain their high standard for quality if they brought the caped crusader online. He admits it's not the "fashionable choice" but he believes that when gamers complete the new adventure, they'll be plenty satisfied, and won't regret buying the game. And you know what? We totally believe him; we're on board all the way.

Off topic - Nice to see Civilization IV being the first video game to win a Grammy last night. It won the trophy in the Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalists category.
And in sad news, Mirror's Edge 2 has been canned :(

Personally, I hardly ever play online. I buy games because I want to be told a good story and get a chance to act it out!

my moneys on bioshock infinite.
looks so unique, different but then at the same time so familiar and amazing!
both crysis 2 and RAGE look FANTASTIC!

Just because there's a bunch of new people on the gaming scene that only play MP, that doesn't mean every game needs it. They only buy Call of Duty and Madden, anyway, so I don't see why devs keep trying to cater to them in games they don't buy.
