Killzone 3 Rockets To #1 At Amazon's Game Division

Although it began amidst controversy with lower-than-anticipated review scores, those scores have been on the rise recently, and fans are definitely ready to pick up Killzone 3 today.

According to PunchJump, high pre-order sales allowed Guerrilla's excellent sequel to be ranked as the top-selling product at Amazon.com's video game division, and there also seems to be demand for the special Helghast Edition, which comes complete with bonus content and even an exclusive Cloaking Helghast Marksman action figure. If you did pre-order at Amazon, you'll receive a $20 Bonus, access to 3 Unlock Points that can be used on a weapon or ability in the multiplayer aspect of the game, and a Retro Map Pack. It will never achieve the ridiculous sales of other FPSs but then again, KZ3 is exclusive, so comparison of sales numbers won't make much sense. Still, to have such a positive response at Amazon is a good sign. If you like great games, we say Killzone 3 is a can't-miss title. Plain and simple.

Great. I'd hate to see KZ3's sales damaged by some mediocore reviewers. This could be a good sign; GT5 was top seller before it released- look at the sales now. I'm not suggesting KZ3 will reach those numbers but...looks promising :D

It's all about experiencing the game yourself. The beta really blew people's minds. It truly is an amazing game. Really miss the weight of the characters, but other than that the game looks as good as anything this gen.

Bulletstorm looks pretty good, though a bit ridiculous. I picked up the PC version but i havent gotten around to playing yet. I expect Bulletstorm to sell about the same or a little more. It doesnt seem super popular, but with 3 platforms to play on it will pick up a few more sales.

Bulletstorm shouldn't even be in the same league as KZ3. It's just cheap gimmicky crap. Kicking people in the air for point bonus', which by the way, the point system is terrible.

I would not suggest that you do, if you are having fun that is what matters, but I hated it and felt that the point system was broken.

I can still understand your love for it as most of my favorite games this gen, some people consider less than ideal.

I haven't played Killzone, except for Liberation on the PSP. We just got a Sony 3DTV and a family member wants to buy this game because of the 3D aspect. Will it be necessary to play the previous games for the story? Or is it something I can easily go to Wikipedia for? Also, if anyone wishes to play the game with me, feel free to add me. Correction: I also played some offline multiplayer of Killzone 1. The game was fun, but kind of slow. I didn't like it much. How do the new games compare to it? And how do they compare to Call of Duty, story-wise and multiplayer-wise ? I played the campaign of Black Ops and I loved it. I don't do much online of Black Ops but it is fun. Minus the pros that can kill you in two seconds.

You forgot about the Heghast Helmet Replica included with the Helghast Edition!

This game is awesome! Split screen co-op, beautiful graphics, easy controls, and that perfect mechanical feel to the weapons that only KillZone has delivered.
If you have a PS3 and you're a shooter fan, this is a must buy!!!

I adored Killzone 2 for custom music online (in-game) and LBP 1 for being able to do the same while you're in your pod.

Im gonna be a bit peeved if you cant listen to your jamz while murking online.

I also noticed there is an auto aim mechanic that seems to be prevalent in most console shooters. This time though it's really obvious. The game seems easier because of this.

I remember when Killzone 2 first came out and i played it's mutiplayer for the first time. And there were no medics around and so everyone died a slow painfull death. Not this case however, ha.

naw, the old man can't play, but the PS3 will handle all his movie needs. I was thinking yeah i could do that and keep the game, but i decided to get the $50 credit from best buy so i could grab him an accessory and keep some of the credit for later to help cover DA2.

Got it from walmart this morning and it has a beta code for SOCOM 4!!! Awesome!!! I hope they add more maps though. I think there is only 5 on offer right now. Granted, they are absolutely amazing. Big too. I love the "Crater" Map. It's ridiculous and the green tint to everything is trippy

I'm getting my copy from GF this week. It seems a whole bunch of people follow my plan of shipping a game back week in advance of this release because that bad boy already hit Low status and it was like 10:30 yesterday morning when I check if they shipped out my copy.

The MP is better than they say! I got my copy from Amazon and used my 3 unlock points on the Engineer turret to get it up to level 2. The game is amazing and the maps are very good. I am in the trying-figure-it-out mode right now. I am getting there. Already level 6! I am loving Warfare but the only thing I don't like is that I still cannot play Caputre and Hold ONLY! They are still doing the mode cycling. Oh well, not a big deal. I played KZ2 last night I was really having trouble with the weight. Today playing KZ3 I am doing very well. I am glad they made the change but wish there was an option for people that love the KZ2 heaviness. Having so much fun and I haven't even started the SP yet! Fantastic game!

Ha. This game deserves it. I hated on Killzone 2 a lot for a few different reasons, but KZ3 seems to have fixed all those issues I had and Guerilla seems to have made something truly spectacular.

the only issue I have at all so far is the off audio in some of the cutscenes. I'm not sure how frequent it is, or if it's just a minor glitch, but it's a little annoying, but the game has sucked me in completely.

...I even like Rico this time around...

if anyone could help me it would be much appreciated, ive gotten to the fifth chapter in providence bay and i gunned down everything with the wasps and they say group up by the big gate door, and it blew up once and i died from a tank but now it wont blow up, so confused!
