Marc Ecko And Prey Developers Team Up

Every once in a while, an unlikely business partnership pops up and delivers something special. The freshly-formed Marc Ecko Entertainment (MEE) has announced they're teaming up with Human Head Studios, responsible for last year's stylish and original FPS, Prey. Marc Ecko isn't new to industry, as Marc Ecko's Getting Up released almost exactly one year ago and enjoyed moderate critical acclaim and decent sales.

MEE and Human Head will collaborate on a project that will "push the boundaries of entertainment."

"Human Head is a premiere developer that is up to the challenge of crafting a title that is conceptually different than any game ever made," said Mike Lynch, President of MEE. "Our entire team is focused on working side by side with Human Head's core group to develop an action title that is truly ambitious in scope. Our job is to change perceptions of what a game can be."

Ecko himself is interested to see how this partnership will play out, but while he's optimistic, he apparently won't unveil any details on this new mystery project just yet.

"As a huge fan of Prey, I am psyched to have the opportunity to watch Human Head enhance our vision and bring it to life," added Marc Ecko. "It's sort of like drawing up the play for the 'to win' basket and having Jordan there to execute it to perfection."

Human Head approaches the endeavor with the same sense of excitement and optimism.

"When we first met with Marc's team, we were excited by the creative vision that they brought to the table and the fact that they weren't afraid to take risks," said Paul MacArthur, President of Human Head Studios. "We're ready to give players a brand new ride."

So...what's the game? Well, keep your pants on; MEE will release initial information on the game later on this month. All we really know for now is that it's for next-gen consoles, which likely means it'll hit both the PS3 and Xbox 360, although we can't be sure about the Wii.
