SOCOM 4: Co-Op Customization
Co-op is always fun. It's even more fun when it's customizable.
SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs is set to launch on April 19 and "in addition to its cinematic single-player campaign and highly addictive online competitive multiplayer," there's the enticing cooperative option, as explained at the PlayStation Blog: up to five people can play through several missions designed specifically for co-op. There are two main game types; Takedown and Espionage and before each mission starts, you can adjust "both the overall difficulty and the density of the enemy soldiers positioned on the map." Teamwork will be required at all times, which isn't surprising. But Zipper Interactive knows multiplayer of all types (check out MAG if you aren't convinced) and this addition of custom co-op missions is great for the fans. Online shooter competition is always steep but SOCOM is a franchise that has been known to hold its own.
Also, don't forget that SOCOM 4 will be compatible with PlayStation Move. Maybe you should test it out with Killzone 3 first, though...

When I got the "launch" PS3(60GB) like the only games I played for a while was COD4:MW(Still the best COD ever!) and War Hawk(Sony, I'm still waiting on the sequel) but since then I never was able to get in a good shooter. That will all change this year thanks to Sony, Thank you Sony.

hope its got offline co-op, had a blast playing KZ3s at the launch party.
i wish co-op games would start using the tech seen in the lego games, instead of having a constant split screen the screen splits if the 2 characters get a certain distance away, otherwise its one joined screen.
just gets really annoying having a split screen!

The co-op sounds cool, just hope a lot of team work is involved....no one man army
Me being a old SOCOM head, THE MULTIPLAYER WILL BE A DISAPPOINTMENT. Zipper has taken away things that gives the game a SOCOM feel, just so they can target people who weren't interested and the COD fans....:cries:
