We Dare Gets Down And Dirty: Kiss, Spank, Strip

Well now, what do we have here?

Gaming has changed over the course of three decades. It has replaced non-video party games like Pictionary and Charades. "Party gaming" is almost a genre in and of itself although it usually consists of fun, colorful puzzle games or music-based titles.

But Ubisoft has decided to spice things up with We Dare, the game that is sorta like Spin the Bottle times a zillion. Apparently being designed for the Wii and the PS3 (for the Move, specifically), it'll have you "bob for kisses" and get down and dirty with a little spanking and stripping. Think we're lying? Yeah? Watch this.

Ubisoft's sales pitch is as follows:

"We Dare is a sexy, quirky, party game that offers a large variety of hilarious, innovative and physical, sometimes kinky, challenges. The more friends you invite to party, the spicier the play!"

Enter the feminists (some girl on girl but no guy on guy in that trailer), the concerned parents who still live in 1986 and think this game is designed for their 7-year-old (because all video games are for kids), and just about anyone who finds this titillation offensive. But we're going to bypass all that and exclaim right now-

It's the greatest game idea ever. And I will now go find some willing female individuals who will help us do a video commentary of this game. Watch that sh** hit YouTube like a megaton of bricks.

Huh?

Cartoon - characters that are drawn.

Anime - characters that are drawn, aka cartoons, but in a specific artistic style. Anime is a subset of cartoon.

I fail to see how supposedly racy action in a game that features anime characters (aka cartoons) matches up against a game like this that has real people enacting racy situations with each other during play. Granted the on-screen characters on the Wii version are particularly cartoony. But I think that most people got the point - even if you missed it by a country mile.

This is the dumbest thing I've ever seen, for one, your wii wouldn't know if you were spanking that girl, kissing the controller, or stripping, all it knows it that the controller is shaking all over.

Second, I highly doubt that just because you invite your friends over your wife/girlfriend will agree to some hot girl on girl action. If it did, they would have made a much raunchier version of this years ago.

Dumb in so many ways, I'm offended they are putting this on the ps3. Ubisoft is known for dumb games, but wow.

when i am gaming, i just want to focus on serious gaming,( chop up the boss, level up, hunting down the treasure, maxing out the levels, completing all the quest, kill the hardest boss etc u know the stuff...) if i want to do other stuff i.e. sex or wutnot, i will allocate other time for myself, NOT through gaming.

to me, gaming is gaming, it is serious as I am a serious hardcore gamer.

so as fun as it looks in the video, it is not my dish.

I'm still waiting on my drinking games for motion controls. Though _any_ game can be a drinking game, I'd like to see one made specifically for drinking. Perhaps mini games/timed events of sorts.

I take it you folks haven't heard of Pong Toss for the Wii. It came out way back in 2008. It was originally called Beer Pong but alot of controversy caused the developers to rename it to Pong Toss and take out the alcohol reference but it is still a drinking game. Look it up, I am not lying.

This is PURE GENIUS on Ubisofts part. There are what?, A billion Wiis out there?(coming to PS3 as well). Not only that, make no doubt about it, this game will make headlines everywhere. It will create excitement and outrage in one fell swoop. I can see this in womens magazines everywhere. And I predict that if questioned Ubisoft will bend to feminists and create another alternate ending where they address the boys as well. If they haven't already.

The game is garbage of course but considering the innuendo it really doesn't matter does it. To be honest I am actually surprised this hasn't been done before. I know there are a few sex games out there but this is not as repulsive as those crazy things you hear about on the internet.

Ben, you definitely must do a commentary on this game. I am sure you will find some honeys to make it interesting.

So after doing my daily game news run ( psxe, g4, and then gamefly ), gotta love phone apps, I read about this game here and then again on g4.

G4 said it would be released for the wii and kinect, but it also said this game was already out in europe but that ubisoft said it WOULD NOT be comming to the US. So those of you who weren't interested, fret not. You won't have to deal with it.

Personally, I would never have played cause my gal would trip. Maybe in my singles years I would've played this game, but those days are long gone and with them too, the freedom to play games like this. Oh well I guess.

Hmm.. Move may have some issues playing this, as the light will be blocked quite a lot.

Pong Toss people. Look it up. This game is not the first time a company has tried to use Motion controls to implement a drinking game and I am sure it won't be the last.

My guess though, unless you know a bunch of swingers or sluts, this game will not be as much fun as the video will lead you to believe.

You must not pay much attention to Ubisoft Mr. Cowherd, they've been pushing out shovelware for the Wii and DS for years now, much of it is completely forgettable, some of it is unfortunately unforgettable - but not for the right reasons.

Wow... Ubisoft must've honestly gotten bored. This game seems like an obvious publicity stunt. Can't wait to see it popping up with moms trying to sue Ubisoft for it being too erotic and adult for their son they bought the game for. Even though there may have been a rating, those moms that think video games are demonic will just love this opportunity.
As for me, I'll pass. Even though I've got both chances to get this... "Game"... I'm gonna let this fly under the radar.
