L.A. Noire Pre-Order Bonuses Detailed
Rockstar's L.A. Noire has our attention. In fact, few titles in 2011 excite us more.
And if you're equally excited, you'll want to pre-order one of the most promising games of the year. They've sent over the pre-order incentives for various retailers, so pay attention: putting down a deposit at Amazon.com nets you "The Broderick" Detective Suit, which "boosts your fist-fighting capabilities and resilience to damage." This could prove helpful when talking fails and the situation downgrades to fisticuffs. If you want to pre-order at Best Buy, you can get "The Sharpshooter" Detective Suit, which "enhances your aim with rifles and pistols." If you've never been that steady with a gun or you'd simply rather have the extra assistance, this one's for you.
GameStop will give you something different; "The Naked City" Vice Case, which is a bonus case for detective Cole Phelps to solve. You'll also get The Badge Pursuit Challenge; search around 1947 Los Angeles for 20 police badges. If you can nab 'em all, you'll receive the Button Man suit, which offers extra ammo for all weapons. Lastly, pre-ordering at Wal-Mart will get you "A Slip of the Tongue" Traffic Case, where "a seemingly run of the mill car theft ends up sparking an explosive investigation into the largest auto fraud racket the city has ever seen."
So, which incentive suits you best? You do have L.A. Noire on your purchase list, right?

That bit about badge-hunting doesn't sit quite right me, however. I hope that type of gameplay won't be present much (if at all) in the main game, as it seems like it would take me out of the experience.

This is shaping up to be a really great game, any true gamer will pick this title up. I will not be picking it up on day one, but a month or so down the road I will be getting it.
This year is going to be the greatest gaming year ever! I'm so excited. :D

D1P. Already secured my copy at EB Games. This is no.3 on my must-buy list, just behind Uncharted 3 and Mass Effect 3. After LA Noire comes Dragon Age 2, Infamous 2, Portal 2, The Last Guardian, Team ICO Collection, Duke Nukem Forever and Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
The more I hear about LA Noire, the more impressed I am. With all the content being announced right now, it's little wonder the game took over 4 years to make.
I guess good things come to those who wait.

LA Noire seems alright, but it just has not caught my interest at this moment, may get it in a few months due to the drought this year in gaming untill the last quarter.

I'm sure I'll eventually buy it at a much later time, but I don't think I'll be absolutely needing it on the first day like I felt with Heavy Rain. I just spent $100 on Duke Nukem too so I'm trying to save some money now. L. A. Noir kind of popped up on my radar out of nowhere since I wasn't really following it, so I didn't save any money for it. There are a lot of other games I need to buy.

Ah well, there are so many other games right now, it's not a huge penalty.
