Two New PS3 Peripherals For Japan
For now, we'll just be all optimistic and assume this news will soon apply to North America.
According to Andriasang, Sony has revealed a couple new peripherals for the PlayStation 3 today. The first is a new color for the Dual Shock 3; it's the Candy Blue controller, and it'll hold the standard retail price tag for a DS3. The other accessory is the Dual Shock 3 Charging Stand, which can charge two DS3 or Sixaxis controllers; the kit includes the stand, an AC adapter, power cord, and two charging attachments. This will go for ¥2,480 in Japan, which is approximately $30. For my part, I figure that even if you never play with another person, you still need two controllers; one to charge while the other is in use. This way, you can just keep switching off and you never have to wait (provided you remember to have one always plugged into the system). A charge stand is a great option for anybody with two or more controllers. And as for Candy Blue, that's a cool color...even if it'd look weird next to my silver and black ones.
We'll let you know if Sony announces both new peripherals for the US. I don't see why we'd have to go without this time.

Like at my home, no one is allowed to use my control pad without my permission(its a custom pad). The fact that the controller is different reduces any chances that someone else might pick it up by mistake.
So I think colored controllers are actually a good idea. Family members can buy a controller of a specific color and only that person will use it and wear it out.

anyway, i already beaten killzone 3 on elite. id say just go for elite mode. the game is so much easier than kz2 elite mode. its so much easier to get platinum in this game. the only hard parts was when i was using vehicles because you take way too much damage on them. like the snow mobile, they even get you before you see them. key is not to spam missiles. make sure they're locked on for a bit so that they wont miss. other on rails vehicle sequences just keep spamming missles and everything, especially at the battle cruiser stage. i just spammed missles and it destroyed everything in elite.

I think i have the same charging stand that's discribed here, it's black with a Playstion logo on the top center with two blue lights that indicates the status of the controllers. Its a pretty good charging station, i think its been avaliable for almost 3 months now in North America unless this is a defferent model.
I perfer white controllers, their alot easir to find amongst the other black electronics in the when its dark.

Perhaps the reason for the non-reportage is that it's a tit-for-tat dispute about cell phone technology that LG is attempting to resolve by upping the ante against Sony? Could it be that it's a temporary order in Europe and Sony are appealing (and will likely win) to get the 'ban' lifted'?
Or could it be that this dispute between LG and Sony will ultimately be resolved outside of the court room behind closed doors and we'll never here what transpired?

The stand on the other hand, is something I think I need. I use both of the two usb ports on my ps3 now. One for my keyboard and the other for the new headset I just bought, so the only time I can really charge it is when I'm not playing a game. I might just buy one soon.

Wonder whether that is a precursor to new colored system units?
We could do with some new colored system units in NA. We have white, blue, red, silver and the default black color for controllers, so when will we see all these colors in the systems themselves I wonder? Come on Sony, stop teasing us and give us the colored plastic we desire!
