Endurance Races In GT5 Will Soon Be Much More Doable
So how about those endurance races, huh? No B-Spec-ing them like we did in GT4. Well, you can, but you also have to A-Spec them if you wish to truly complete the game.
Wouldn't it be nice if instead of leaving the PlayStation 3 on for an ungodly amount of time, we could just save our progress and turn it off? Wouldn't this come in really handy for some ridiculous venture like 24 hours on Nurburgring? Well, believe it or not, that option is coming: GT creator Kazunori Yamauchi confirmed as much on his Twitter page this morning; translation courtesy of GTPlanet:
"I’m sorry. Game saves during endurances. They are currently under development."
This is a hugely requested feature all over the Internet and suddenly makes all those races seem doable. You'll have to take an RPG-like approach to them, depending on how long you plan to race at a stretch, but at least you don't have to constantly worry about power outages, a kicked cord, the dog, or whatever else might tragically end your 24-hour run at the 22.5-hour mark.
Can't wait until this is ready! Might actually be able to finish A-Spec.
