ICO/SotC Collection May Include A Last Guardian Demo

As if you needed another reason to pick up the ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection.

Not only will you get two of the PS2 generation's very best titles in brilliant high-definition (with a 3D option), but you might also get a playable demo for Team ICO's newest project, The Last Guardian. You may recall the God of War III demo in the God of War Collection and that hidden Sly Cooper 4 video in the Sly Cooper Collection, soooo... When Team ICO boss Fumito Ueda was asked if a Guardian demo was possible in the ICO/SotC Collection, he replied:

"We're considering it, but we haven't come to a conclusion."

See, that would be awesome. Maybe along with a demo, we can also get an official, finalized release date. And even if that's too much to ask, getting even a small taste of Team ICO's ultra-promising game would be fantastic, and of course, the Collection in question absolutely must be in your library. It simply must.

OOOooooooh...please do. I would love to see the progress Team ICO is making. Can't wait for this. I held off on completing Shadow of the Colossus when I heard about the HD version coming out.

Good news, but this has no impact on my purchase decision. The Team Ico Collection is absolutely unmissable, due to the nature of those two, and The Last Guardian is going to be unreal. All I need is a release date.
Peace.

If the demo isn't all that complete it could hamper TLG because you know it will be picked apart online.

i agree 100% the me2 demo was picked apart online. they need to make sure it's up to snuff, and good. this collection is day1p for me no matter what. i don't need the tlg demo when it could spoil things, and get picked apart.

The Mass Effect 2 demo deserved to be picked apart. That was one of the worst demos I have ever seen. The final game was MUCH better than that demo led people to believe. Now with that said, I doubt Team ICO would make the same mistake as Biosware of releasing an old, buggy demo.

Yeah it took me 3 tries to beat that ME2 demo because it kept freezing on me. Was super irritating considering you couldn't skip the cut scenes, which made up half the demo.

I'm really looking forward to playing this as I missed out on them when they came out for ps2. Have they nailed down a release date for this collection because gamer sources can't seem to agree when it's coming out.

Missed both of these when they first came out on ps2 so i'm superduper excited to play them in all their HD lovelyness.
I think i'm ok with not getting a demo of TLG because i dont want to spoil my first meeting with the cool griffen dog bird thing.

On my preorder list. Unfortunately Amazon's got it pegged to the last day of the year at the moment. Hopefully it releases way before that.

I would be extremely grateful if such a thing were included, but as you say, I need no further reason to pick this up.

I hope there isn't a demo. I don't want anything to be spoiled. I didn't see or know much about ICO/SOTC before purchasing them and it only improved my experience with them both.

Considering I haven't played either of the original PS2 games I am very excited to play them on the PS3 in HD! The Last Guardian looks fantastic as well. I feel like I have missed out on playing a Zelda game and I am close to trying Zelda out for the first time. That's a cool feeling as I cannot imagine not playing a Zelda game.

I'm already buying this since I never got around to playing them on PS2. A demo for TLG would be great, but I agree with World, if they're gonna release a demo then it can't be buggy.

Definitely true! Even if the demo hits with the ICO Collection I won't play it until I complete the Collection first.

Well this would be the best!

However, his games are experience's designed to be dosed in full....would a demo work with such a unique game based on the full picture?

I'd buy the ICO/SotC HD collection if it came with a bag of shat. A must own for anyone claiming to be a gamer.
