Sega Celebrates Yakuza 4 Launch In Fine Fashion
Lest you forget, there's a great PlayStation 3 exclusive in March: Yakuza 4.
And they kicked things off with a big bang, too. Sega held a launch party for the anticipated game; everyone gathered in the Hiro Ballroom in New York City for sushi, pool, a DJ, and a whole lot of game sampling. It's a fitting setting for a game in which we can relax with cute Japanese hostesses...after beating the tar out of baddies, of course. Check it out:
Yakuza 4 will on store shelves on Tuesday, March 15, and if you want an idea of the combat, download the demo off the PSN. We're pretty certain we received an invitation to that event above but...well, I'm busy. Granted, it might've made for an interesting video for our YouTube Channel but your solace is we have other plans for that.

sad to see all the things i hated about yakuza 3 are still there!
this series feels so outdated!
for example, why are there text boxes in a 2011 game?
watching a 2 minute cutscene then spending 20 minutes reading dialogue via text boxes just gets REALLY annoying!
was going to get this once i got the time to play it, but thats just really put me off it!
plus the story is what is yakuza, without the story its nothing!
allot of places have said the storys pretty crap, splitting it into 4 different characters was a big mistake!
i wish for the next one, they took it out of the 90s and into the 20th century!
hello sega, its 2011 so can we have a 2011 game?

Anyway, this game deserves the love!
So sad that people pass on it because it's a pure Japanese(Eastern) game.
I compare Yakuza to Red Dead in terms of the East/West preferences in gamers, etc. Might be wrong, but that's how I'm seeing it.
Though, hope people do give this game a chance. No need to have played previous ones. Just get into this one and grab the other ones if you can/want.
Really cool cutscenes in the Yakuza series.
