GameStop Newsletter Subscribers Can Try Apocalypse Today
It's bound to be one of the most entertaining games of spring, especially if you're a big fan of racers.
But maybe you want to sample before you buy (and really, who doesn't?). In that case, we hope you've subscribed to the GameStop newsletter: we've heard from several people that the retailer has included a voucher code for the MotorStorm: Apocalypse demo with their latest newsletter. It's only for US residents and apparently, the demo code will be usable today (March 15). Now, if you have a European PSN account, you can download the demo right now; it has been available on the Euro PSN since last week. After all, the game launches in Europe first. As of now, we don't have an official release date for the demo in North America, so it seems GameStop is offering early access...how early, we're not sure. The game is slated to hit store shelves on April 12, so that play sample may not go public for a while. Yeah, bet you're wishing you signed up for that newsletter now, right?
We fully expect Apocalypse to be one of the year's best; everything we've seen and heard thus far has been mighty impressive.

played it last night and am really disappointed.
only 1 level, only 2 laps, only lasted 4 minutes.
how can you release a 4 minute demo for a game!?
its allot easier then the previous games too, in those if i found myself dropping back it was so hard to get back up top.
but in this i was on the 2nd last lap, 3/4s of the way through coming last, then i blew past everyone and took the finish in first place!
the other games are way harder then this, and to be honest allot more fun!
for some reason the handling of the cars does not feel right, there far too tail happy just gets really annoying!
1 2 and 3D rift felt distinctly like a arcade racer, this though feels more like half way between a arcade racer and a sim, which just does not suit this game!
plus, well, the whole catch to this game was the changing environments so why do they only happen on the last level?
they need a trigger like what split second has, otherwise it just gets really boring!
the 3D effects were really disappointing too!
in 3D rift your constantly got mud flinging onto the screen and sticking to it, same with the water, and smokes constantly pouring out of the screen.
theres heaps of visual effects popping out or blurring your vision.
this though?
nothing!
no smoke, no mud, not even water washing down the screen.
i thought the whole point of a sequel was to improve, not go backwards!
3D rift is looking like 10 times the better game so far!
yea its just a demo, but this just was really underwhelming.
hopefully this is a really old demo and it improves allot in game, but so far apocalypse has been a massive letdown!
seriously contemplating if i should get this, or get split second again since i never got to finish it.
that or BLUR.
