Annual BAFTAs Honor Heavy Rain, Mass Effect 2, GoWIII
You know, as Heavy Rain continues to receive various awards, we admit to sensing a tiny thread of vindication in giving Quantic Dream's gem co-Game of the Year 2010.
After receiving numerous honors at the annual AIAS and NAViGaTR award ceremonies, Heavy Rain is once again on the lips of critics: the BAFTA (British Academy Video Game Awards) results are in: in addition to the stellar Mass Effect 2 landing Best Game honors, Quantic Dream's story-driven interactive drama won in the Technical Innovation, Story, and Original Music categories. By the way, if you're wondering why Red Dead Redemption isn't on any of the lists, it's because Rockstar didn't submit their game for consideration. It had a shot at the public-voted Best Game award but unsurprisingly, it lost out to Call of Duty: Black Ops.
Other notables: Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood took home the Action prize, Artistic Achievement went to God of War III, Super Mario Galaxy 2 won Gameplay, and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit may have been an upset winner in the Multiplayer category. Man, these games sound awfully familiar...they sound a lot like the games we loved most in 2010, and the titles our readers tended to enjoy the most. Times may be changing, but it still remains true that many of the best interactive productions are also the most popular. Bring on L.A. Noire!

“I just thought, I’m not digging this, I don’t want to brush my teeth in a game.” --Danny Bilson
That's probably not a reason I'd choose, but we all have our fetishes, I suppose.
I still haven't pulled the trigger on HR yet. If only it had more ninja in it, I think that'd have done it for me. I guess that origami paper star I always see can be construed as a ninja star... yeah, I suppose that'll do.
I'm cool, though, with making breakfast and brushing teeth, unlike the THQ dude.

Since I avoid a lot of mp for that reason, I'm not going to go seeking it out on some website.

David Cage will make a fantastic FPS complete with that same Heavy Rain emotion to it.
Cage has stated in an interview that he want's to do a military FPS after his next 2 projects are done.
But, he wants to turn the whole military FPS genre upside-down, by making it all about individuals & how the war has greatly affected them, and about the real ravages & spoils of war, not just any everyday kill spree galore game.
Mark my words here, if Cage does go ahead with this project, he will own the whole military FPS genre.

i just cant understand how people dont get bored of playing the same sh*t over and over again!
everyone loves ice cream, but would you not get bored of it if you had nothing but ice cream to eat for breaky lunch and tea for 20 years?
id much rather him do another different unique game like heavy rain, then do a common as the common cold FPS!

Speaking of which, it apparently clocks in at 25-30 hours. Which, considering that is devspeak, means 18 hours at a stretch. Still, that's not disappointing. I'm more into it for the atmosphere than the length (as a nice change of pace). May 20 cannot come fast enough.
Peace.

I hope they will release something like that some time later.
