EA Asks Fans To Select Cover Athlete For Madden 12

EA went with two athletes for the cover of Madden NFL 10, the fans selected a Super Bowl QB for Madden NFL 11 and this year, the publisher is once again turning to pigskin followers.

Check it out: in the spirit of March Madness, they've got a 32-player bracket that features big names for each of the NFL's teams. Of course, some of the lesser teams have little chance of putting a player on the cover, although we'd love to start a petition that asks everyone to vote for "The 12th Man" on the Seahawks. What the hell would that cover even look like? As for the well-documented Madden Curse, well...  After the 2010 game arrived, Pittsburgh's Troy Polamalu got hurt in the second game last year, but New Orleans' Drew Brees was just fine last year, right?  Don't complain. Your pick will be just fine in 2011...'cuz they might not be playing much football, unfortunately. 'cries'

As a 49ers fan, I'd vote for Willis but even I think that's way too weird. My guess is that Super Bowl MVP Aaron Rodgers ends up on the Madden NFL 12 cover.

This is so any injuries can be blamed on the fans instead.

I assume it'll be Rodgers too. But as a GB Packers fan I can't help but worry bout the curse! But Vick is a big star again, what a comeback he's had. But he was on the cover of 04' already, which means nothing I guess.

Someone from the Cowboys...yes I'm biased like that. I don't even know who it would be. I hate Romo, maybe Barber?

I used to watch football all the time, but life got in the way and I haven't seen an entire game in years.

I wouldn't even recognize any of the options, most of the time you can barely tell who's on the cover anyway.

Maybe they should put a picture on there with the guy not wearing a helmet.

Well when you watch football and are familiar with it seeing a teams colors and a players number is always more than enough.

But I see your point if your not completely familiar with football.

Yeah I understand that, I'm just saying that if the guy's helmet is on, then why don't they just pick a team each year.

I think they can really only put 1 of 3 players on the cover..Michael Vick, Aaron Rogers, or Jamal Charles...Only three that actually deserve it...

How about a picture of a Schlage lock, you know, for the lock out?

Gotta love greed.

I voted for the Seattle Seahawk fans, THE 12th MAN :) They rock!!!
my bailout votes
1st 12th Man
2nd Tim Tebow
3rd Peyton Hillis
4th Micheal Vick
5th who cares...

Madden 12 better be a huge improvement... u cant just add rookies and update rosters. It's sad they dont even have tackling down yet, its football, come on! geeez. Blocking is just horrible, catching and fighting for the ball is almost not there. route running needs to be improved and a Franchise mode needs to improve drastically. Dont add any new stuff just give us the game we would of got years ago if you guys had competition. Being the only football game you guys just sit back and drink coffee. Actually do some work to the game!!!
