Extra Resistance Content In April
During a recent interview with Sony president of worldwide studios Phil Harrison, he addressed several topics, including the company's reasoning behind erasing the rumble from the Sixaxis. But he also talked about some game stuff; specifically, regarding the best PS3 title to date, Resistance: Fall of Man.
When asked about future content for the amazing launch title, Harrison had this to say-
"We have some really, really cool things that will be extending the story, extending the locations, some brand new content, starting in April. So if that works well and is well-received by the audience, then that will keep the engagement with game going between now and should there be a sequel at some point in the future."Now, thanks to Insomniac's own Ted Price, we know a sequel is in the works, but Harrison appears to be talking about episodic content that might actually connect the first game to the second. Every online expansion we see these days - be it on the Network or Live - seems to hold the same stuff: another game mode or two and more multiplayer modes. But the downloadable extras for Resistance might have a lot more to do with expanding the already-robust single-player campaign, and that is great news.
Whenever Sony announces an exact date and the content involved, we'll be sure to let you know. But for now, we take solace in the fact that April isn't too far off.
