Mortal Kombat Footage: Johnny Cage Cops An Attitude
It's good to see MK fighters with a little personality, don't you think?
Many are sorta faceless but Johnny Cage has always been the rock star of the twisted Mortal Kombat family. And in this latest bit of gameplay footage, we watch as the cocky, sunglasses-wearing fighter does anything necessary to emerge victorious. You remember that special little move of his, don't you...?
HA! Who wouldn't love to do that? Line up all the idiots we know and strut in front of 'em going, "I'm taking you out, I'm taking you out, and I'm taking you out." We're still not sure why Cage is shown nailing so many women in the crotch (fairly certain it's more effective against guys), but whatever. This game is gonna be fun.

As for this new Mortal Kombat, I'm absolutely psyched. As a MK completionist and long-time fan, I literally have three different versions pre-ordered.
I pre-ordered the Kollector's Edition from Gamestop/E.B. so I'll get the Scorpion outfit there.
From there, I pre-ordered the Tournament Edition from Best Buy so I could get the Sub-Zero outfit, plus I lucked out big time on price. For some reason, Best Buy here in Canada was only selling the T.E. for $139.99. I went online during their 10% off sale and ended up getting the T.E. for only $116!!! WINNING! :)
That was going to be it for my pre-orders but then Future Shop announced that they were going to sell an exclusive Steelbook for the game, so there you go. Three pre-orders, $300 later. :O
I've gotta say, though, as psyched as I am for this game, I will miss certain elements from past MK games. I'm going to miss Konquest mode because I find it incredibly addictive and it added to the length. I'm going to miss slamming a guy through a floor and then punching him in the face on the way down to the next floor. At least The Krypt is back this time around. Yay! :)

This is what I love about MK, the characters do truly come to life. As real and as effed up as it can get! lol
Cage's cool, that horizontal kick of his is as legendary as it gets. Don't forget the low blow lol
Anyway, this is the fighter of the year, will be playing this all Spring-Summer
