New Resident Evil Already 45% Done, Demo For E3
Freshly announced, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is on every horror follower's lips.
But when will see more than that teaser trailer? Perhaps the first official gameplay unveiling isn't as far off as you might think: according to a Famitsu interview with game producer Masashita Kawata, it seems the new series installment is already 45% complete. Plus, developer Slant Six plans to deliver a demo to E3 in June, which means attendees will be able to go hands-on with Capcom's latest big project. Based on this information, one could hazard a guess as to the game's ultimate release; perhaps early 2012 isn't a bad estimate. The publisher has released big games in the first quarter before; Devil May Cry 4 is one example. As for the game in question, we bet RE fans are anxious to prove to themselves that their beloved franchise remains...well, Resident Evil.
We reserve judgment until we can see the game in action. Operation Raccoon City is being prepared for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

It´s like when Sega got Boiware to make a Sonic game, and it was a great DS RPG. What did the fans expected, a 2d side scroller from a RPG-only developer??
