Battlefield 3 Release Date Leaked?
Fall is always the busiest time in gaming, and it's no surprise to see so many huge titles scheduled for that period.
In addition to games like Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, Batman: Arkham City, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and the great possibility of Mass Effect 3 and the new Call of Duty, yet another big title seems to have been scheduled for autumn: DICE's Battlefield 3. We knew it had been tentatively slated for "fall 2011" but now it seems a date of November 2, 2011 has been set. This is according to a screenshot found by CVG; it's a capture of the EA Download Manager, and the date is clear. However, it is odd that November 2 is not a Tuesday (new games typically release on Tuesday in North America) and EA hasn't officially confirmed anything just yet, so take this with a grain of salt. Still, nobody would be surprised if that date turned out to be accurate.
Featuring the awesome new Frostbite 2 engine, Battlefield 3 is already perceived by many to be a front-runner for Shooter of the Year.

And that's why Sony's taken them down, probably trying to hack-proof them more.

keep thinking that!
O, BTW George was never going to release his "exploit".
O, and it did not allow piracy, all it did was allow access to the RSX chip, which was locked out in other OS.
it was a knee jerk reaction, but i wont bother trying to explain it because as usual it will go through one ear and out the other!

George DID release the security keys to the ps3 to the public by his website, the keys that completely opens up the ps3s to any type of hacking. That is basically the reason why sony went after him so agressively. you saying that george was never going to release his exploits is completely retarded because he DID do it.
It doesnt matter if they say that their hack didnt allow piracy or what "noble" idea they think they are promoting. the fact is they opened up a hole for others to exploit. instead of doing it themselves, they can just use whatever hack the guy RELEASED to the public and build from there. They may say that they dont mean to promote piracy but the fact is that they are opening the ps3 up for it, and they definitely know about it. When george released the security keys to the public, it gave others access to information that can very well lead to piracy.
think of it this way, give a guy a loaded gun and tell them that he's only to use it to protect people. however, depending on the character of the person, he can use it to kill others, himself, rob people, or whatever the hell they want with it. the same with the security keys. a few may use it for what hotz wanted them to use it, but majority of those people would take that opportunity for piracy. hackers saying that they're doing all these things for us is just self justification to make them feel better for themselves. by hacking the ps websites and psn, who do you think that affects the most, sony or innocent consumers?

the so called exploit he found in the other OS was not a security vulnerability it did not enable piracy all it did was enable RSX access.
and he stated a million times he would not reveal it!
whether its true or not who knows, but i would not be surprised if sony removed the other OS feature because IBM was miffed at them because the air force was buying ps3s and not IBMs much more expensive blade servers!
im sorry but sony should not of removed a feature millions of people paid for!
so as far as im concerned they deserve what they get!
yea, its a step too far what these idiots are doing.
BUT as the saying goes, a eye for a eye, a tooth for a tooth!
the way sony is treating there customers is disgusting!
i mean, there violating so many rights its not funny!
there obtaining IP addresses, so they know everywhere your been.
what happened to privacy?
soon they will be allowed to have security surveillance around everyone!
i got no problem sony protecting there property, but when they infringe on my rights and treat me like a criminal, thats when you gotta stand up and say enough is enough!

anyway, this is not the first time this has happened, anyone remember ME2 accidentally being shown for ps3 on the same store?
ok that turned out to be true, but i doubt this is.
that would put it right in the line of fire of the biggest series in history!
releasing this game in nov would be pure suicide!
i doubt EA and DICE are that stupid!
DICE may be confident, but there not THAT confident!
