Assassin's Creed III Spotted On Developer Resume
Well, you figured it was happening but it's nice to have some documented evidence.
We knew we'd be seeing a new installment in the immensely popular Assassin's Creed series this year, but we weren't sure about the title. And while we still don't know anything about the setting, a developer's resume on LinkedIn (via Game Sector) has confirmed the existence of "Assassin's Creed III." This developer lists the following projects on his resume:
- Assassin’s Creed 3 (in-production)
- Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood (2010) PS3, X360, PC
- Assassin’s Creed 2 (2009) PS3, X360, PC
Of course, this doesn't really tell us anything, but provided the title is accurate, maybe there is a hint: the reason why the last was dubbed "Brotherhood" and didn't have a roman numeral is because it was a sequel to Assassin's Creed II. And we're pretty sure we heard Ubisoft say they were reserving the numbered iterations for all-new adventures; i.e., a new hero and new setting.
So maybe they're done with Ezio and while he's one of the best characters of the generation, we're perfectly willing to go for something new. Just keep the same gameplay, Ubisoft; don't you dare mess with that winning formula. I will freak...out.

1. bought 1 about six months before 2. Started it and didn't stop until I finished it.
2. bought 2 on day 1 and started it, put it on the shelf for 2 months and then played it non-stop until the end.
3. bought AC:B day 1, started it, stopped, started again, stopped again, let sit on shelf until March and then was becoming immersed in it then my ps3 YLOD.

This is of course contingent on the fact that they did not BS the whole resume.
Though I hope they didn't. I waited a long time to try ACII afraid it would get tiresome like the first one which was still really good. After ACII I was so hungry for more... not because it was unsatisfying, but more due to the sheer excellency and enjoyment.
I am waiting on Brotherhood until the next AC is a little closer this way I don't have to wait impatiently for another one (also I don't have my PS3 at college nor the time to play any games).

^This ruins the AC:B experience for me. Every single network setting, update, DLC, has to be JUST so to play with a friend... Why? No other game does this. That Unreachable message has completely ruined an amazing multiplayer mechanic. If I could actually play with my friends, it would be my favorite multiplayer game this gen.
All of us experience it with each other and everyone else on our friends list, so it isn't just one of us with a bad setting. Out of the 8 friends on my list that own this game, I can only get into a game with 2 of them. SO annoying.

we also know will be playing as desmond in the present instead of using the animus previous games have.
desmond has had his training, they have found the apple so now desmond needs to collect it.
i just hope its not so god dam linear and restrictive and buggy as brotherhood!
for a open world game it is ridiculously linear!
perfect example the level where you have to climb the Colosseum.
you would think you could take any route to the top.
but you would think wrong!
your only allowed to take one way up!
why?
i thought this was suppose to be a open world game, not a linear as hell game ala COD!
why do games have to be so god dam restrictive?
thats one thing that seriously kills the enjoyability!
O, and please for the love of god fix the assassins AI!
if i had a penny for every time one of my assassins went to kill someone, but someone gets in there way they would just run into that person id be a multibillionare by now!
same thing sometimes the assassins come in one after another.
you use them to not be caught, but one comes in and kills the target, then the other comes in 10 seconds later so its too late because the first assassin killed his target but the 2nd came too late so now the guards are alerted.
another thing i wish they would fix is how the guards spawn.
you see 2 guards blocking your entrance, so you think ok yea no problem i can take out 2 guards.
then manically out of thin air another 50 appear!
if i had a nickle for every time i had killed all the guards around me, to then have another 50 spawn around me id be a multibillionare by now!
O, and please get rid of the stealth missions!
this is assassins creed not splinter cell for crying out loud!
they turn the action series into a stealth series, and the stealth series into a action series.
soon will be seeing Ferrari making a MPV, and kia making a supercar!

As it is said in recent warfare assumption is the mother of all f*#k ups!
In concern to your gripes with the gameplay,If 50 guards come looking for a fight chances are your notority was full & were spotted by someone who raised the alarm or you just plain suck a$$ at one of the more easier stealth games!!!
PS.the next time you rant about something re-read your comment before posting, then look in a mirror and punch yourself in the face.

I'm sure these ppl know what the hell AC is I mean after all THEY are the same ppl who created the damn games so I think if anyone knows what they're game is and is supposed to be it's them.
