"Okami Could Still Get A PS3 Sequel"
Okami was just one of those games. Those who played it will likely never forget it, and they've been pining for a sequel, too.
Up until now, we really haven't heard much about the possibility of a follow-up, but according to the rumor section in the latest Official PlayStation Magazine UK, the dreams of the artistic-minded may not go unheeded. There's one particular "whisper" that has fans of the award-winning last-gen title stoked:
"Despite selling like yellow-snow ice cream, OPM favourite Okami could still get a PS3 sequel."
Okay, that isn't much to go on but at least it's something. Sadly, it's true that many of the more unique titles don't get as much attention, and Okami really didn't sell well enough to warrant a sequel. At the same time, there's no denying the cult following the game has, and those fans would be more than ready to accept a new effort.

Read my comment below and you'll see why I loved this game so much. An HD remake would really make the waterbrush art style graphics really pop!!

Okami on PS2 was one of my most memorable gaming experiences next to San Andreas and Shadow of the Colossus.
If it had Move support, an Okami sequel would rise to the top of my wishlist.
And for anyone who hasn't played Okami or even heard of it, I highly recommend you buy it today. Trust me, a hire isn't long enough. The story took nearly 40 hours to complete, but it never felt long-winded.
I loved Okami so much I even bought the game again on Wii. While the widescreen presentation and Wii-remote paintbrush mechanic is wonderful, it makes it so much harder to draw a good circle than using an analog stick.
The timeless Japanese painted presentation, the Japanese folklore tale of a wolf Goddess, the huge world to explore, the creative and colourful characters AND enemies!!! Okami was nothing short of brilliant and deserves the attention of anyone not glued to FPS'.

The artwork graphics might not be in HD, but they are still beautiful to behold nonetheless.
Don't wait for an HD remake. I haven't heard anything about one anyway, not even a rumour. Do yourself a favour and pick it up for 10 bucks or something at a Gamestop or wherever you can find one.
If you've got a spare 40 hours, there is no finer way to spend it than with this gem.

Unfortunately, I do not own a DS. I had a PSP but recently traded it in anticipation for an NGP.
If I did have a DS, I would certainly place Okamiden on my wishlist. Sadly, average reviews of the game wouldn't make it a D1P for me, but I would still love to get it in any coming sales!!

Okami's 5th birthday is coming up next Wednesday (April 20th). Maybe Capcom will surprise us with a Okami HD remake for the PS3 and 360 with Playstation Move support to boost hype for the announcement of Okami's sequel (again, console sequel) at E3!!
It could happen. Capcom's remaking Resident Evil: Code Veronica and Resident Evil 4 for the PS3. Why not Okami?!
