Uncharted 3 Beta Confirmed, Get In By Purchasing inFamous 2
Uncharted 3: Drake's DeceptionWhen it comes to Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, any and all info is welcome.
And a veritable treasure trove of info just came from a recent interview with Naughty Dog boss Christophe Balestra, as posted in the GameTrailers forums.
Firstly, we now have a confirmation of the multiplayer beta and a start date: July 7, with PlayStation Plus members getting into the action on June 28. You can nab a spot in that beta by purchasing inFamous 2, by the way. Split-screen fun was also confirmed, and customization for multiplayer will be included; you'll be able to customize both your equipment and weapons. New modes like 3-team Deathmatch (2 on 2 on 2) are coming and oh yes, the ability to interact with enemies while hanging from ledges, which is just way cool.
Some of the details pertain to the single-player, too, like that part about dangling from ledges and tossing foes. Weapon customization is another feature that should be included in the campaign, and we remain a little hazy on that split-screen part...is it for the campaign or straight multiplayer? Well, we'll find out soon enough but the other information is good enough for now.

They should put in the vertical ledge shooting abilities that Dark Void had. It would be perfect for Uncharted.

On another note, I will be extremely frustrated if the campaign has split screen, even a co op mp campaign. Only because it's such a great, no the best single player campaigns I've played. I don't want that hindered in any way. But what they did in UC2 with the mp co op was awesome, I still wish we had more dlc for that. So that is welcome, it is alternate from the story yet familiar. Also no matter what they do to the mp to beef it up is great. I really like the 2 team deathmatch idea! That will be fun and interesting!

Also, interacting with enemies near the ledge is nothing new, i threw plenty of players over the edge playing multiplayer UC2 unless you mean something a bit different

there are more ps3's out here now, and surely most ps3 owners are aware of this franchise. people need to make sure this is a day 1 purchase. uc3 sales will say a lot about how many hardcore gamers are left on the ps3.
what do you guys think? any predictions for uc3 sales the 1st month?

As for UC3, I wouldn't expect it to be too high in sales in the first month. The Elder Scrolls V is coming out only 10 days after UC3, and I know a lot of gamers who are completely skipping on UC3 because they're Elder Scrolls crazed. I'm hoping it pulls another UC2, though, and keeps doing better and better over time.

just wait until gears of war 3 drops. it will sell millions of copies in the first month. i want uc3 to do as well, we will see. i think sony has lost a lot of the hardcore gamers that make day1 purchases for whatever reasons. a triple a exclusive like uc3 should be able to sale millions in the 1st month. it's the sequel to 1 of the best reviewed games of all time. people should be lining up for it.
