Inversion: You Don't Appreciate Gravity Until It's Gone

We thought you might like to see an army of soldiers running up a wall.

The first solid look at Saber Interactive's interesting shooter, Inversion, has arrived, and it's...thought-provoking. Rather than being just another third-person shooter that blends in with the crowd, the developers are trying to toy around with gravity and set themselves apart. Check out the following debut teaser trailer:

Granted, this doesn't show much but it does make one think- imagine the possibilities. When you change and outright defy gravity, things can get downright mind-boggling...we just hope Saber takes full advantage of this creative opportunity. If they intend to succeed, this gravity thing better be a lot more than a nifty gimmick.

Inversion holds a February 7, 2012 release date.

For some reason I am getting a Gears vibe from it. At least aesthetically. Might be interesting but I'll wait for more information before a get too attached to the idea.

Yes, that Gears of War macho look is very...not to be mean, but very childish. It's over the top and I get the same feeling here. I don't know about everyone else (but I'm sure everyone agress), but this looks very Xboxy!lol

I've had my feelers up for this game ever since they first announced it.

Oh hell yeah, I can see some wild in-air kill-spree acrobatics(at least, I sure hope so)

Looks like it'll probably be gimmicky but I'm okay with that, could be fun. Except it looks like the Unreal 3 engine, hope it's not.

Seems cool. Certainly does set itself apart from most. I'll keep this on the radar, and see if it doesn't become the first new purchase of the new year.

The character models looks like gears/ Rescue heroes. Too bad i could never get into the gears games. Hopefully this has actually good characters.

Not sure if these guys have ever taken a university level physics course (most likely have), but this seems inaccurate to say the least...lol. No gravity means no air/atmosphere on earth and it also means these guys wouldn't even be running and gunning on whatever planet this is. They would be floating and gunning unless they have gravity boots or something which still doesn't explain how they can move the upper limbs at normal speed.

Yep, I'm thinking too much. Man, I miss the days when I didn't understand the laws of physics because now I can't enjoy anything that seems to defy the basic principles like Transformer movies...lol. Anyone else in this same boat?

I was, but then I realized that sadly, ignorance really might be bliss. At the same time, I hate the idea of being a mental sloth.

Essentially, that means I keep learning but I try to ignore the ill-effects as best I can. ;)

The beginning of that trailer is pretty corny, but its a good teaser regardless. I'll keep my eye on this one, it could turn out great.

so happy to see a gravity game again releasing!
saw a few on the ps2 but ever since they have died down.
dunno why, they open up so many doors to puzzles or even just tactical combat.
oh well, hopefully they do it so well it catches other devs attention and we will see it expand.
