Alice 2 Will Include Download Code For First Alice

Alice 2: Madness Returns will be available on June 14, but there has been a significant gap between the first and second titles. Heck, American McGee's Alice never even came to consoles.

Therefore, we think it's a darn good idea to include a copy of the original adventure with the console versions of the sequel. According to CVG, the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Alice 2 will come with a download code that will let players sample the original Alice for no extra charge. Furthermore, we can expect a bunch of cool DLC, like extra dresses for the main character that will give her special abilities and "enhance how you play the game." But the highlight here is the whole 2-for-1 deal, which is always a big draw for consumers. Granted, it's an old game by comparison so it's not exactly worth $60 on its own but hey, who's gonna complain? Besides, we hear there's a definite link between the two titles; don't you want to be completely up-to-date?

We'll be interested in giving this one a try when it drops next month. The gameplay we saw in March seemed awfully impressive.

Sweet. I loved the first one but too many never played the game. It had some amazing graphics at the time.

Awesome sauce, I only played the first a little bit but it was fun and I was gonna get Alice 2 anyway. Not big on fairy tales, but make them into a twisted dark world with butcher-knives and I'm all over it. Tim Burton eat your heart out.

Good job picking up on weirdo games you think we'd like to see covered Ben.

This is amazing news! I always wanted to buy the first one. The first one is $500 new, $140 collectible, and $57 used on Amazon. Free is a great price!!!

If someone bought it at that price the previous week then that would be a combination of funniness and sadness. Haha, it would really suck.

The only working torrent I've seen of the game has a virus. All my friends got a virus after downloading the torrent anyways. Though, that was a few years ago so maybe there are better ones out there now.

The first Alice was an amazing game, and it'll shock those that are only used to the Disney movie or original novel. Can't wait to see the Cheshire Cat and other characters again.

I always love getting games on the cheap, and it doesn't get much cheaper than free, especially when it comes bundled with a game that I'm very interested in. Unfortunately, my usual restrictions still apply, so I won't be able to play the first Alice immediately, but I'll get there damnit. Madness Returns will likely have to wait a bit, considering that June belongs to iF2, but it is most definitely on my list.

By the way, John, you're a month ahead of yourself. We're still in April, remember?

Ahahaha I have buddies who used to break into another buddys house to play the first Alice. Before that when I was in Highschool, my friend had it but I never got to try it.

This needs to happen with games more often. I may buy Alice 2 just because it comes with the 1st one, I'd agree that it would be a good idea =]

Awesome! I loved the first Alice game. Am really looking forward to the new one, just hope NIN does the music again! They really captured the dark insanity and the music pulled you into the twisted world beyond!

Technically NIN didn't do the music for Alice, just the then drummer of the band.
