Prototype 2 Trailer Looks Promising
The first Prototype was entertaining, but there's always room to grow and improve.
Check out this new trailer for the sequel, which definitely looks more promising. A few of the developers talk about the project and we get a chance to see some eye-popping scenarios. In terms of gameplay, we hope to see more in the coming months but it may take some time; the title isn't slated to hit store shelves until next year.
Many will make immediate comparisons to Sucker Punch's inFamous but this time around, the sequels won't be anywhere near each other. inFamous 2 will be ready to go on June 7, so you won't have to make a tough decision; come 2012, you might want to give Prototype 2 a chance.

Speaking of Infamous, I got into the UGC beta last night thanks to a friend and psn was down so I couldn't actually do anything but run around and try out some powers.
FYI some of the new powers are wicked bad. I can tell you that as evil Cole I will definitely enjoy picking up cars and chucking them at people. I don't want to give everything away, but a lot of stuff has been upgraded and it rules.

Although interestingly enough this is also why I find the sequel interesting. If Alex Mercer is going to be made into the main villain, as well he should be, then Prototype 2 might actually turn out to be something resembling halfway decent. And of course the fact that it's not going to be butting heads with the inFAMOUS IP, unlike it's predecessor, is also a plus.
Even so, I still doubt that it's going to be as good as inFAMOUS 2. When it comes to creativity, Sucker Punch has an definite edge over Radical Entertainment.

maybe they will make it better than the first one. as for graphics and gameplay. from what I saw infamous 2 trump every ps3 exclusive. it has
so many things going on on screen and its a sandbox game. I couldn't believe my eyes. and almost no pops in. that's what I saw from the videos.

I should finish it off before the 2nd one comes soon.
I'll wait on reviews before buying Prototype 2.

Too bad the only other good thing about the game was fighting in the zones where the army was actively fighting the infection. That was fun as hell. The rest of the game, though, with its crappy story, voice acting, character design, and graphics were not good at all. Its a decent rental at best, and so far this one looks to be shaping up to be, at the most, a good rental at best.
Oh sure, I hope its a good game, but from what I've seen so far it looks like more of the same from the first one (except this time we've got a character with a less-cool sounding name and less personality than Alex Mercer).
