All Versions Of Jurassic Park Now Slated For Fall

Telltale Games knows how to make a quality downloadable/episodic experience.

And that's why we were intrigued when they announced Jurassic Park: The Game, which was initially scheduled to release in April for the PC (and possibly for other systems). But only a few days after reporting the PC version had been pushed to fall, Telltale has confirmed the other intended platforms - PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 - and has stated that all versions will arrive this autumn. Interestingly enough, the 360 version will launch as a "retail release containing the full series on disc." PS3 owners can expect the all-digital treatment, as they'll have to purchase new episodes on the PlayStation Store whenever they're ready. If you're at all familiar with Telltale's recent Back to the Future series, you'll understand how this works. Presumably, the 360 version on DVD will cost about the same as all the individual episodes combined.

For additional info, check the game's official site, which features a very impressive behind-the-scenes video.

I'm really excited for this one. My daughter is a total dinosaur freak and she LOVES the Jurassic Park films probably even more than I do. So this game will be a day 1 buy for this dino fan.

I am keeping an eye this game, that's for sure. If the quality is high, I'll end up getting it because of how I like Jurassic Park.

How come the 360 gets an actually hard copy? I always prefer to actually own the software on a physical copy over digital, dang this sucks.

they prolly didn't wanna pay to not use a full BR Disc. A BR-D is 50gigs I don't know what a DVD tops out at but i'm sure that is considered.

oh and all logic aside, Death to M$

A DVD is nearly 9 gigs, but with all of Microsofts absolutely unnecessary security copy protection (because all 360 games are pirated and on the net anyway)the total space available to games is significantly less.

Hence the annoyance by people that PS3 gives devs 25-50gigs to work with but 360 makes them squeeze multiplats down to about 6 or 7gigs.

yea roughly 9 gigs with 41 gigs of empty space. I'd opt for digital distribution too. too bad there isn't anymore backwards compatibility, maybe they could've done a PS2 port.

I'm interested to see just what kind of game this will turn out to be. But I like having a disc too. I already thought it was a download title only since it isn't full budget though so that's okay.

I'd love a great Jurassic Park game, but I really hate downloadable episodic games, never know how many episodes their will be. So you never know how much it will end up costing you.

I loved dinosaurs as a kid and I'm still quite fascinated by them today. Needless to say I fell in love with JP when it came out and still have all 3 on DVD.

I know there has been a few JP games all the way back to the Sega Genesis games, but I never really liked one. In fact the only dinosaur game I ever really liked was Primal Rage. I sure do hope this game turns out to be fun. I would like it on a disc, but I'm not too upset with downloading the episodes, if I don't like the first one then I'll end up saving money.

Me too, I also liked all of the Turok games too.

Hmmm, reminds me, I've got to go back & finish the last Turok, cause I'm still stuck inside the hollowed-out middle of a huge multi-rooted swamp tree, with T-Rex circling & nipping at my face.

Damn, I guess that just means it's the Double 180 Bot-Box copy for me then.

No disc-No buy!

why does the 360 get a disk and ps3 and PC dont?
ps3 not getting it i could understand because blurays are more expensive, but PCs use DVDs too you know?
sigh.
another game to put on the want but cant have list.
one day developers will learn DL only is cutting there sales in half!
not everyone lives in japan with unlimited download usages you know?
will be 100 years till AU gets upto those standards!
