Shadows Of The Damned Crazy, But Not Over-The-Top
There's always a line. And if you cross it, things can just get "too crazy."
Shadows of the Damned, the dark action thriller from masterminds Shinji Mikami and Suda51, will boast plenty of outlandish, freaky imagery and an insanely visceral atmosphere. In terms of gameplay, there may be a few interesting tweaks on convention but Suda51 told NowGamer that overall, this game won't be "too over-the-top."
"We question constantly whether it’s revolutionary or not and we always talk about new ideas when they come around with everyone, including EA. We don’t want to be too out there, but we have to strive to make it unique and that’s a good balance to aim for. EA has been really understanding of what we want to do as we’ve been working together."
But even if it won't cross that aforementioned line, Suda51 did say the game just got weirder as time went on. He said the project wasn't as "crazy" as it was when they first started, and EA didn't expect something quite so loopy, either. Apparently, though, it's about walking a fine line between hellish raucousness and accessible action.
At the very least, that all-star development cast automatically means Shadow of the Damned is worth a look when it arrives in June.

why do games always have to release together?
we have not had any games since portal 2 and MK, then 3 weeks break, then within 1 week we have brink, LA Noire, leggo POTC, then a week later infamous 2, RFA, DNF.
one day publishers will learn to spread out their games......... one day!

first 9 days of june are empty.
all of july is empty.
first few weeks of aug are also empty.
only months that have a game releasing each week is the usual nov and oct others have at least 1 week deserted.
thats the problem with games these days, you either A finish half the game so you can play everything else.
or B miss out on half of the games!
even if you have the funds to pay for them all, you would need to stay home 24/7 to have enough time to play them all!
come to think of it, i guess short games are not such a bad thing after all..........
