Hitman: Absolution Announced, Agent 47 Returns
Although it always seemed to toil in the shadow of other games, Hitman remains a widely respected franchise amongst stealth aficionados.
Not all entries were excellent but many satisfied that aforementioned group of demanding fans, most of whom will be excited to learn about Hitman: Absolution.
A teaser trailer for the game hit YouTube earlier today (see it below) and not long after, developer Io Interactive and publisher Square Enix officially announced the fresh installment, in development for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. We're not sure when it will arrive, but we know it's being built "from the ground up using Io's proprietary Glacier 2 engine." Absolution will also pay a visit to E3 next month.
Here's a brief summary of what to expect-
"Hitman Absolution follows Agent 47, a cold blooded assassin, who takes on his most dangerous contract to date. Betrayed by those he trusted and hunted by the police, he finds himself at the centre of a dark conspiracy and must embark on a personal journey through a corrupt and twisted world, in his search for the truth."
Hey, I'm up for it. If this turns out well, it'll allow me to forget how Ubisoft screwed the pooch with Splinter Cell: Conviction. 'gag'

An absolutely amazing series. Completely engrossing and even relaxing.
Blood Money was my favourite. Technically amazing for it's time too.
If it's true to the name, this is of utmost importance with games like Dark Souls, Journey, WKC2 for me.
To be a tad negative, i can't see that relaxed, slow paced gameplay that demanded patience, strategy and time being done today....Enix might request "more accessible action scenes"...
And if they do keep it all intact, what about the dumbed down, casual COD public?
To end positively, the brand name might sell it regardless.

As for a Classics HD set, S-E put out Tomb Raider, so it makes sense that they may well take a chance and do the same again. I hope so. I'd like to see the full story of Agent 47.
Peace.
