L.A. Noire Launch Trailer: The Wait Is Almost Over
Hey, did you realize one of the most anticipated games of the year is less than a week away?
It's true. L.A. Noire will launch on May 17, which is the upcoming Tuesday, and Rockstar is celebrating with the official launch trailer. We've already seen plenty thanks to their gameplay series videos, but it's always nice to have the promotional trailer that will be all over the place. ...well, we hope it'll be everywhere; gotta advertise this one.
The idea of an interactive detective thriller never gets old in my mind, which is why I have nothing but the highest expectations for L.A. Noire. Right about this time last year, I was anxiously awaiting Red Dead Redemption (which launched on May 18, 2010) and that turned out really, really well.

GotY contender for sure and beyond a shadow of a doubt my third most anticpated release of 2011. I hope it doesn't disappoint, but with the backing of R*, I really don't see how that's even possible. They blew us all away last year, and it seems that they'll do it again with this guaranteed gem from Team Bondi.
Peace.

I'll return it and immediately pre-order the special edition of Infamous 2, I would've gotten the Hero edition if it wasn't 130 euros here o.O
which is 185 dollars :O I don't understand the price difference, they used to just replace the dollar sign with the euro sign...

Now, I am seeing nothing but glowing remarks for LA Noire and of course they may very well be deserved, but ... hasn't this revolutionary ground kinda already been covered in terms of drama, story, excitement and realism? I'm not talking about developers or critics (well most of them anyway) but the hordes of people who were like ... "Where's the game?"
Heavy Rain probably had a much bigger impact than a lot of people would care to admit.

I don't expect anything completely new in L.A. Noire, but I do expect it to be like Red Dead Redemption: a fantastic gathering of great gameplay features.

Plus, every pre-order still comes with a code to unlock the Broderick Detective Suit. Sweet deal for gamers.

It is a good mix of several key gameplay types. Each of the main story cases is a blend of crime scene investigation, interrogation and action but the mix will be different from case to case. The game is definitely going to ask you to think a lot more than a more action-heavy game, although unassigned cases are small, bite-size street crimes that you can also take up, and they are almost always action-based."

Ha, I will if you really want one though it will be soggy and nasty by the time I get there. The best burgers here come from a restaurant called Cheddars. That I know of anyway. :)

With the ban on work over here I can barely afford to fill the car up, so I wouldn't make it unless it was in Hartlepool - which it isn't because no one comes from America to Hartlepool. Seriously though mate, I hope it goes really well.
Don't worry about the burger. You'll have enough to carry.

And thanks RadioHeader. I'm sure will have a lot of fun. I'll post the details in the forums once they are all confirmed. Anyone who lives in Europe is welcome to check it out. Oh, and were not huge. Ha, this tour is mostly self funded. We're pretty a D.I.Y. band as of now.

Also, Ben and PSX staff. I've been meaning to mention this. When I am at the PSX homepage and reading the headlines with the small intro to the story. When I click thru I never have to reread that intro. No other website that I know of does this. It is refreshing. I just wanted to take the time to thank you guys for that. It's the little things.

It seemed like u were trying to compare heavy rain and LA noire. They are likely to be completely different. Both are crime dramas, but they have different time periods, game mechanics, ones sanbox i think too... LA noire will be way different, but probably very similar in gaming style to GTA and RDR

The style and story are quickly growing on me(love the cars) and after Read Dead... the next R* game was going to be a must own.
I'll be taking my bargain bin Borderlands back for a refund. I forgot how bad I was at FPS! :P
