Modern Warfare 3 Teaser: "Am3rica," Lots Of Green
Forget the damn official announcement. We know it's real.
And it helps when teaser trailers like this pop up. The following video just hit YouTube this weekend; it doesn't show us any game footage, but it features some radio chatter, the word "Am3rica," shots of New York City, and a big ol' "MW3" logo. If that's not enough to convince you Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is incoming, you're just in denial.
You will also hear mention of Manhattan on the radio and in general, any game that has fighting on our native soil gives us the chills (remember Homefront?). Maybe that's the atmosphere CoD needed to appeal to those who haven't cared much about the franchise. Furthermore, with rumors of a "more epic scale" the whole way 'round, we're really hoping MW3 turns out to be one of the year's best.

I really can't believe I'm actually considering it. I swore off call of duty, I'd be a huge hypocrite to myself and my friends if I were to get this.
One thing is for certain. Battlefield 3 will be my multiplayer shooter of choice, I just love the bigger maps and the tactics that go into winning each round. Might replace my copy of Black Ops on 360 with MW3. Got MW 2 on PS3 and I hardly played it. Sadly, many friends are big 360 supporters and always prefer Live over PSN, which is just such a shame, especially for our wallets.
Whoops, getting off track!
Yeah, this trailer and excellent news about changes to the formula might just be enough to make me a hypocrite and wanna get this game.
I just hope they bring back stealth missions and the satnav bombing and air attack missions from the first MW, really broke up the monotony of the game. Loved it!! MW 2 and Black Ops? Huge disappointment in my eyes compared to CoD 4.

BF3 is still a purchase but having a brother who is one of them cows who are being milked dry by Infinity Ward I will be trying it.
I hope it's the game we've all been wanting since COD4, I hate talking so negative to a franshise that gave me the game that I put so much time in during the first days of owning a PS3(all I played was Warhawk for first month)
(played COD4 up until very early last year. That just goes to show How inferior COD4:MW was.

Even though i HATED Blops, theres still a part of me thats very interested in finding out what happens to soap & price.
COD classic,MW1 & MW2's single player campaign were exciting on the edge of your seat sorta stuff so i may pick up MW3 if i'm bored at some point.

Sony is definitely going to have to address the outage at e3 though, they'd never live down that elephant in the room, I wouldn't be surprised if full PSN functionality was an announcement. I'm willing to bet they have a few surprises for us in store as well. I can almost see Jack Tretton onstage now issuing a formal apology to the consumers with the welcome back program detailed and possibly lengthened.

i had faith in treyarch, but they showed that they don't have the creativity to take the lead in the franchise.
CoD4 (arguably the best call of duty) and MW2 were both IW games, and they take the steps forward in the franchise. MW3 is sure to impress.
BF3, MW3, UC3, LA noire, ACRevelations... damn its PACKED this year!

i am, im just disappointed SP wont be working on it.
i asked if infamous 2 would be the last game and they told me if it sells well, and fans want more thats what we will give them.
i cant see them going onto anything else anytime soon, infamous is too popular.
not saying sly 4 will be a bad game, but id much rather see it on ps3 and under the hands of SP, then on NGP and under someone else.

As for MW3, sorta peaks interest but not enough that I feel obligated to buy the game. My level of care is still pretty low.

This leads other companies to follow suit and fail to upgrade any copy off of CODs formula. This would have been okay a few years ago when 4 came out but the industry is till stuck in the same mindless slump ever since. It also leads to the 'westernization' of many older franchises. Ultimately CoD is creating a pool of low quality copies, destroying beloved older franchises and preventing new original IPs from forming.
Therefore people that support original, quality games rail against CoD.
