Battlefield 3 Vehicle List Is Impressive

When it comes to vehicles in shooters, Battlefield is unmatched.

And DICE is definitely pulling out all the stops in Battlefield 3, which will feature all manner of military vehicular awesomeness. If you've been wondering about what to expect - and what you'll be able to fiddle around with when the game launches this fall - check out the complete vehicle list. Yeah, that's quite the hefty list. And no, you probably won't control everything here, but you'll definitely see them at some point during your harrowing adventure. When it comes to vehicles in shooters, it's always a question of how well the developer handles those very different movement and physics mechanics. But we assume DICE can handle it.

List looks impressive that's for sure. It's just to bad the fast movers are only playable on the PC.

I thought the T-90 was a cold war era USSR tank? Will there be a flashback level?

I don't know much about it but, the T-90 was produced in 1995 to present.

I think the t-90 is a remake of the classic t-72

Yeah, it's a modernization of the T-72. I found out they originally were going to call the T-90 the T-72BU, but used T-90 instead.

@Karosso Clicking on the link in the article reveals that these vehicles are what gamersbook have been able to identify from trailers and screen shots, they don't know which ones are playable nor do they claim to know.

I don't think I've ever seen a Bike in a war game before. That would be interesting LOL. Ride your bike and pop a cap in someones arse doing a drive by.

<3 The Little Bird helicopter, same as the M1A2 Abrams Tank. I can't wait to try out the F-16 Falcon if it's usable. Also the CH-53D Sea Stallion I love that helicopter it looks bad ass in my opinion.

Vehicles can be entertaining in the campaign, but in mp, that just seems like too much. I want to be bad ass in an fps. Not hiding behind some metal beast. And everyone knows there's nothing more stupid than getting hit with a tank shell while running around on foot.

if this was CoD id probably agree. But this being Battlefield, vehicles fit extremely well. and the balance is pretty solid. Being in a vehicle does NOT make you unstoppable. I take out plenty of them when i play

The blame needs to be put on the players who don't know how to destroy the Tank or any vehicle targeting you.

You have tools to assist you in destroying vehicles. :P

Vehicles are a great addition to multiplayer, teaming up to destroy it quickly or to keep it safe it's just plain fun. I had a blast driving a jeep in Foy playing Call Of Duty United offensive (Pc) running over people and blasting the horn to call everybody to the gunfight was just hilarious!

I hope they're all campaign playable. I always enjoy taking vehicles for a spin during the story... especially that Jeep and tank in R:FOM, or the bike in Black Ops. Has to be fun y;know, and I think that DICE can pull it off.
