L.A. Noire Landmark And Film Reel Locations Guide
With the calls from dispatch and all those stops you have to make for your current case, you probably don't have time for much else.
But maybe there will come a time when you wish to explore more of 1947 Los Angeles; a city meticulously created by Team Bondi. There are incentives to explore the immersive world of L.A. Noire, too; you've got 50 film reels to find, 30 landmarks to spot, 95 cars to sample, and 13 newspapers to locate. The latter is more story-related but the other three are bound to have you running about for hours. It's a big damn city and to find all 50 film reels, you're gonna need some help. GamesRadar has posted up a guide to all 50 reel locations and all 30 landmarks. Videos and larger maps are on the way as well, so if you're a hardcore completionist, you'll be thankful to have such a resource.
Remember the 100 hidden packages in GTA? Man, I actually did that...multiple times, too. But of course, there was no chance of finding them all without guides like this.

If there's one thing that I despise, it's needing to check out some silly little guide just to find some intensely obscue patch of map where the developers just so happen to have hidden something that really adds nothing to the game except increasing the difficulty of 100% completion.
That being said, I don't think that I'll bother to collect all of these, but rather whatever I happen to come across. Unless of course the game is even MORE engaging than I'm already convinced it is.
Peace.
