Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One Lands Fall Release Date

Another PlayStation 3 exclusive has landed a fall launch date, and the platforming fans are bound to be excited.

Sony Computer Entertainment America has announced that Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One will hit North America on October 18.

This will be the ninth R&C adventure and it's set after the events of the recent entry, A Crack in Time. Dr. Nefarious makes a mistake and four characters - Nefarious, Ratchet, Clank and Qwark - are trapped inside his mysterious device and of course, hilarity ensues. Featuring four-player co-op (both online and offline), "the over-the-top weaponry and gameplay the series is known for," and stereoscopic 3D, this one ought to be entertaining. Also, those who pre-order the game at participating retailers will receive some incentives: Mr. Zurkon (laser-equipped robot) at GameStop, T-Red Morph Mod at Amazon, Pyro Blaster Unlock at Best Buy and the Sheepinator Mod at Wal-Mart. Yeah, it does exactly what you think it does.

Don't forget about Twisted Metal and The Darkness II, but they are all VERY different games, and R&C does have a strong market, so it may well hold its own.

October can be a good month to release it, they dont want it too late where it will get lost between MW and other Holiday/AAA titles. In October it will release alongside games that will appeal to a different/older demographic while R&C should appeal to young and old gamers alike.

EU is where the system sells the best, so this is how they thank us?
ok, everyone throw your ps3s away and stop buying ps3 games that way sony might realize this.

I thought A Crack In Time was gonna be my last r&c, but damnit I'll give in. Cause when I think about it, R&C coop play has to be too much fun to be missed, the platform genre is the *perfect* genre for coop play and R&C is quality all over, so surely the coop play will be well implemented.

Yeah. Great. Now I've got 12 titles on my must-buy list. Twelve. Within the same year - and we are in month five! Omfg what a year!!!

The A41 official site says 1-4 players, so I guess you can play it alone if you want. Not sure if you'll end up with AI partners, as it is supposed to be a co-op game. But I'm sure that there is no dedicated single player component.

I can guarantee you that the game is not only playable, but a *good* single player game too. That's 100% sure. Anything else would be madness.

That being said, if you got some buddies with a ps3 too then I'd recommend trying to play the game in coop (forget coop with random unknowns, thats no good).
With one single exception (Rainbow Six Vegas was a HORRIBLE coop game) my experience is that coop only adds to the fun factor. A cool experience simply becomes better when it is shared. That goes for most things in life.

Of course you can play it one player as PSXExtreme have reported several times now on their coverage of the game. And I don't care what is coming out at the same time this will totally be the top priority on my list. And this is roughly the same time of year that they always release R&C the last one was late september.

This looks to be the weakest R & C yet. I've been a fan for a long time, but there is only so much you can do before things get ridiculous.
