Team Bondi: The Ladies Seem To Like L.A. Noire, Too

L.A. Noire is a game that breaks boundaries, so don't be surprised if your wife or girlfriend finds it intriguing.

Team Bondi writer and director Brendan McNamara told CVG that detective work really appeals to the female brain in a variety of ways. Reading faces is something else the ladies might be drawn to, and McNamara says the game is often best played with two or three people in the room:

"We think it appeals to a really broad church, and one of the phenomenons [sic] we've seen a lot when we watch people play the game is that they'll play it, or their wife or their girlfriend will play it, and two or three people will play it together like they're watching TV. Three people can be entertained playing the same game and that's a bit of a phenomenon.

So far it's been very appealing to women too, which is great. I think women are pretty good at reading whether people are lying or not."

Well now, we're not about to dig ourselves a deep grave by going on about who's more likely to lie (men or women), or who is better at interpreting non-verbal signals. But the point is that L.A. Noire, due to its mentally-charged gameplay, doesn't restrict itself to hardcore gamers or those who only want to play GTA. Who doesn't want to be a successful detective?
