Analyst: GTAV Won't Be Ready Until After April 2012
We all know the fifth Grand Theft Auto will arrive at some point. But when?
The fans are hoping to see an official announcement at E3 next month, but according to Sterne Agee analyst Arvind Bhatia, we're not likely to see GTAV before April 2012. Bhatia expects the highly anticipated title to release between April 1, 2012 and March 31, 2013, which is - admittedly - a vague release window. Even so, if it's accurate, it means we've got a long time to wait before GTAV is ready to go. The good news is that Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive have released two blockbuster titles since GTAIV; the critically acclaimed Red Dead Redemption and L.A. Noire. There's no doubt that expectations will be crazy high for GTAV.
We still want an overseas setting - London, Tokyo, Paris, etc. - but we can live with a Los Angeles setting, as has been rumored.

If Rockstar can pull all their most fun and aesthetically beautiful strong points from their previous GTA's and place them into a single hi-def GTA for the PS3, that would just be the greatest game ever.
San Andreas on PS3!! Vice City as the 4th city next to Los Santos, San Fierro and Las Venturas!!
Play as a struggling actor trying to make it big by doing favours for corrupt film-makers and politicians!! Stunts, deliveries, gun fights, explosions, helicopter chases, drug smuggling, ambulance and lawyer chaser, it works!!! My dream GTA... if only... :)

Plus a hot tub time machine thrown in for good measure...
GTA IV was too grey... Give me a gallon of gameplay over a tumbler of realism anyday...

Reason is that much of what GTA is all about is making fun of the people and cultures in the US, and they do that well.
I shall not underestimate R*, but I am not convinced that they will be able to do the same with the japanese or british culture. I am worried it will be too shallow and cliche. "Never change a winning team".
So keep GTA American! Just please please with sugar on top, let it be more bright and fun like GTA:SA (or even Red Dead for that matter) and less dark and grey like GTAIV.

R* have so many games there working on now, MP3, agent, apparently RDR2, bully 2, and what ever happened to midnight club?
theres no way will be seeing a new GTA anytime soon, and if its anything like GTAIV then thats a good thing!
once i can probably handle, but 2 GTAs sucking?
nope, dont think i could handle that.
hell, even LA Noire is more of a GTA game then GTAIV is!
at least in that you can drive like a freaking maniac without flying out the window, or getting the cops trying to kill you!
