Uncharted 3 Beta Details Surface

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is going to have an unbelievable campaign. But don't forget about the promising multiplayer.

When Naughty Dog puts their minds to something... A slew of new beta details have arrived, and that includes a start and end date, level cap, mods, medals, modes, maps and more. You can jump into the play test on June 28 if you purchase inFamous 2 or you're a PlayStation Plus subscriber; if not, you can start on July 4. The end date is July 13, though, so indulge while you can.

As for other info: the level cap will be 25, and there will be no less than 9 modes to test. That includes Team Deathmatch, Team Objective, High Stakes, and three co-op modes, so you can get a great idea of the multiplayer's diversity. There will be two multi-level maps (a French chateau and an airfield), a cool new addition called Power Plays (to help even things out), and a bunch of boosters.

As for guns, the beta will feature the AK-47, G-Mal, and the Dragon Sniper, along with an assortment of pistols. Unsurprisingly, it seems the developers are going all out. You ready to test?

Yeah, I know World. But I have a perfectly logical excuse for not playing Uncharted...

The dog put bubblegum into the disk drive on my PS3, so out of pure fear that Drake could blow a PS Bubble, which would most likely destroy the entire world, if not the whole universe, I decided it was best to simply not play Uncharted.
It's for the safety of everyone. You don't want the whole universe to be destroyed, do you?

I just never thought I'd enjoy it. To be honest, I've never really been a fan of third person shooter games. They just never had that 'omg' appeal to me.
Although if I purchase Uncharted 1 or 2, I quite honestly doubt I'd enjoy it.
But since everyone is telling me how Uncharted is an amazing series, I'll give it a try. I just need to find the extra money to purchase it.

do i want to try the beta..? i dont know ive avoided watching any videos or looking at any screenshots, as i want to go into the game with knowing as little as possible (i know i'll love it)

I'm so excited for this, the Beta will get all the MP out of me so I can enjoy the SP when I get the game. When I first got U2 I did the entire campaign on hard mode before I even thought about MP.

Uncharted 3 is mine on day one. There is nothing that will keep me from that. Uncharted 2 was just amazing, maybe my favorite game of all time. Up there with MGS3:Snake eater and MGS 4:Guns of Patriots. Uncharted is becoming another MGS franchise, Perfection.

If I had to miss every game this year and the next and only purchase one, It would be Uncharted 3.
I'm glad they are focusing on the MP more. Just make sure by doing so, it won't hold back the SP experience at all. I want the best SP you can give us, don't let the MP get in the way of doing so.

Oh man, I totally forgot I'd be in this with inFamous 2. And all these other games too? How am I gonna play them all and this?

Well I read Alice 2 got a 5 from OPM so I might have to cancel my preorder that'll give me time.

I hope everyone who owns a Playstation 3 will play the Multiplayer for Uncharted 3 like every xbox360 owner plays his/her Halo.

I just hope that everyone that has a PS3 buys Uncharted 3 and forget about the multiplayer. How is it that such a quality game (UC2) only sits at about the 5 mil mark for sales, while CoD has around about four times that... Makes me many kinds of bezoomny.

Incidentally, I leant UC2 to my CoD playing friend, and have neither seen nor heard from him since the weekend... I hope he's playing the right game :D

I'll get inFamous2 (of course) but I played my last beta with Matrix Online. Full character wipe pre-launch, after three months of intense playing and building my character put an effective stop on my appetite for betas. I still feel the pain. :)

I am curious about the coop modes though. Will it be pvn or pvp? Just the regular "team deathmatch" variations or something new?

wow, why so short?
assuming the store will be up by then!
first it was the end of the month (which is today), then today the day it was suppose to be back, they say by the end of the week.
how much you want to bet on friday they will say by the end of next week?
why does $ony always wait till the last minute to communicate with there fans?
if it was not ready for today, why couldent they tell that earlier in the week?
i always said $ony had the worst customer support in the world, but they did not have to prove it to me!

A short beta prevents people from building up a huge character and cache of bonuses that they then lose when the beta ends. I like the idea. After all, if it's a real beta, it's about capturing data, not offering gamers a bonus.

Can't wait for the game, but I don't care about the multiplayer stuff.

The only thing that would be really cool is if they would add co-op campaign play, either local or online!

That split screen information is awesome. I was reading it earlier, and if they managed to pull that off, their game engine is capable of things that will make our hearts stop.
