Darksiders II Will Unleash Hell In 2012
A great many people really liked Darksiders, and THQ is counting on those established fans to purchase the sequel when it arrives next year.
Darksiders II has been announced; it'll come to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC some time in 2012. Perhaps surprisingly, we'll control a new protagonist; rather than War, we'll be following the adventure of the horseman Death. Essentially, this isn't really a sequel, as the story runs parallel to that of War's plot, which we've seen. As far as gameplay goes, THQ said to expect "a dramatically larger world" along with "upgradeable equipment, new enemies, and bigger dungeons." Although we had a few small issues with Darksiders, it was still a fun, solid experience and we imagine the designers can take the next step.
As promising as this follow-up effort is, it's probably a good idea to avoid the holiday rush this year.

Also it need another attack button imo, if they fix those two things in the sequel it could be a solid 8.5 or moar.
Hope they still make a version for each console I liked this move with the first Darksiders, no damn ports!

And you know, changing the main character is not a problem. War was cool, but the main attraction was the atmospheric world. Changing to another horseman won't have an effect on how fun it'll be.

I'll be interested if they get rid of those challenge arenas. Those are never a good idea as part of a campaign.
