Uncharted 3 And Batman Lead Game Critics E3 Awards
There were a ton of great games on display at E3, and the Game Critics Awards nominations for the event have been released.
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception and Bioshock Infinite led the charge with four nominations each, while many other titles (including Batman: Arkham City, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Battlefield 3, and Tomb Raider) picked up three apiece. As for publishers, EA and Sony each got 14 total nominations, Microsoft netted 11, Ubisoft had 7, and Nintendo and Warner Bros. each landed 6. If you're wondering, the Game Critics Awards Best of E3 2011 nominations are determined by a group of judges from 35 different publications.
Uncharted 3 was nominated for Best of Show, Best Console Game, Best Action/Adventure Game, and Best Online Multiplayer Game. For the record, here are the nominations for Best of Show:
- Batman: Arkham City (Rocksteady/WB Games for PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
- BioShock Infinite (Irrational Games/2K Games for PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Bethesda Game Studios/Bethesda for PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
- Tomb Raider (Crystal Dynamics/Square Enix for PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
- Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception (Naughty Dog/SCEA for PlayStation 3)
There may not have been a lot of huge surprises at E3, but the software lineup for this year is pretty damn impressive. Sure, we already knew about all of them before E3 but in this day and age, it's almost impossible to keep big projects secret for the express purpose of revealing them at E3.

As for the Move, I have it too. It may not be as fun when playing solo, but it sure is great with friends. All of my siblings play console games but not all of them are as "core" as most of us here. They thought all the games are awesome, but the only time they want to steal the controller away from me was when they saw me playing Sports Champions. It's a blast. And now I still await for Sorcery, which was disappointingly absent in this year's E3. And I almost forget, make sure to play Heavy Rain with the Move. I found it a lot better with that.

Also, the bundle I bought comes with Sports Champions so I know I'll have fun with that. What else would you recommend I get as far as PS Move "only" titles goes?
Sorcery looks cool to me and didn't Sony say something like there was going to be a big change to Sorcery the next time they show it or was that for a different game?

I don't have a lot of Move games yet. Like you, Sports Champions was bundled with my PS3. I'd tell you that my siblings and I played it about two days ago and my body hurts as if I went to the gym. Goes to show I need more exercise! Anyway, I'm sure you'll find it lots of fun. If you are a PlayStation Plus subscriber, you can download Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves from the PSN. I haven't played it yet, so I can't say if it's good or not.
Sony sure hasn't released a lot of top-tier games yet with the Move, but there are also those games that you might want to try to play with the Move. Killzone 3 and MAG being some of them. I haven't fully invested yet in Move games, but oddly enough, the one I've been considering to get is Singstar Dance. That coming from a guy who only sings in the shower and never dance. LOL
