Want some cold hard cash? Think you're pretty damn good at Killzone 3? Have we got some news for you.
It's the Get Your EDGE $40,000 KZ3 Challenge by Virgin Gaming, and the contest details have arrived. It's a 3-on-3 tournament and qualifying rounds begin on Monday, June 27. These will run for 6 weeks and the top 32 teams at the end of the round will move on to the elimination phase. If your team can manage to be the last one standing, you'll rake in $10,000! Plus, the top 20 teams "will also get a nice payday once the dust settles." But maybe team-play isn't quite your thing, or maybe your teammates just so happened to suck it up.
Well, there will be other ways to earn some money. The individual stat-based weekly challenges will enhance your earning potential; just head over to the contest's official site to learn about the EDGE Shave Gel Weekly Challenge. So even if you don't win the match, maybe you conquered the challenge...if you rank at the top of the Challenge leaderboard, you'll nab $800. Not too shabby. All told, there is indeed $40k on the line so register now for the tournament fun!

I was on VGchartz this morning taking a look at game sales.
KZ3 has been something of a highlight for 2011.
While the game released during mid Feb. it has managed to be one of this year's best selling games by platform at 1.7million in sales. Great considering t hasn't dropped to a greatest hits budget status.
Woefully, Motorstorm Apoc looks like it flopped miserably.

Oh and Bioware looks to not be getting much love from Sony folk.
Both DA2 and ME2 look to have had a luke warm reception. Significantly lesser than MS's culture. And here I thought their game's would be better received on PS3. Granted there were a few misguided souls who gave up 12GBs of HDD space for a ME2 digital copy.

Honestly I havnt played KZ3 much but in KZ2 I was ranked in the top 1,000 for more than a month before I basically just stopped playing. All my buddies play more CoD than anything, so I honestly don't know many people who play KZ3. My roomate does but he borrows my copy, ha.
