PSXE Home Show Episode #2: Join The Party Thursday!

Our slicker, more refined new episode drops into the PlayStation Home Community Theater on Thursday, June 30, and once again, it's time to party.

We'll be your hosts at 5 p.m. PST (8 p.m. EST) to celebrate the unveiling of the new episode, where we talk about the open-ended future of video games and the stellar Uncharted franchise, among other things. My brother and I (PSN IDs "fathoms" and "ViperIsIn" respectively) will be around for a few hours to chat with anyone who wants to show up; maybe we can get Arnold to show up, too. Last time, we saw a whole lot of people attend, despite an irritating error that stopped some of you from joining up. We're hoping for even more this time around and as we reported before, we'll have this little virtual get-together every time a new episode debuts in the Theater. For the record, Episode #3 is tentatively scheduled to launch on July 21 and we'll be working on the fourth straightaway. We got a cool idea for it, too.

Oh yes, and besides hanging out with the PSXE crew and community, there's another incentive to show up on Thursday; it's a new giveaway and all you inFamous 2 fans will be interested...

I'll be sure to be there this time. Sucks that I have to keep converting your US times to Aussie Sydney times just to get an idea of when to log in. I think it'll be around 9 or 10 am Friday morning that the show starts for us Aussies.

I've been on the first one and will be on the next one. Thankfully it's my rest days, else I would've missed it completely. It was fun getting to "know" some of the folks from here in Home and on the PSN. Looking forward to the next episode!

Good luck to all on getting into Home this time.

Reminder: if you haven't updated Home in a while (i.e., since before 1.41 IIRC), wait until your orange HDD light stops flashing before agreeing to update to 1.51. Otherwise, you will have problems with the update.

So let's make a simple guide here:

In order to join this, you need an american account on PSN. Everyone can create that, but will I then also connect to the US region Home? Anyone can confirm this?

Second issue: Timezone. 17 PST, do that mean midnight GMT? If we get the times also in GMT everyone is able to figure out their own local time.

Ben, would love to be there, but my PS3 has broken down :( When I switch it on it beeps twice and the flashes the red light on and off... It will have to go in for repairs I think. I don't know when this will happen, so for now I am not live on PSN or HOME...

What a bummer!

Thanks Biker Saint... wise words indeed. Only issue is I don't live in the USA. I have tried multiple times to call the Sony repair center in Singapore to be able to take it directly them and drop it off; but for some strange reason the numbers don't work.

I then phoned through to the Hong Kong support center who are now trying to flag me as a priority customer and get me some attention :)

I hope I can resolve this soon.

Once in the Home "menu", just scroll to where it says "Community Theater

Install that if you haven't already, & then jump right in.

Quick message for the non-US members-

The European Home doesn't even have a Community Theater, as I understand it, so the show is out of the question outside the US.

Aha - that explains why I never really found that theatre. I assumed it was the main hall of that cinema, from the main square.

They should be able to join if they create a US PSN account. I am in Asia, and I was able to "attend" last time when I signed in with my US PSN account (it's actually my main account).

I'm probably going to miss tonight's gathering. Ive been getting one error after another and it just won't stop. Oddly enough, it's only Home acting up. Id still try a bit more, but it isn't looking good for me.
