Bioshock Infinite: 14 Minutes Of Achingly Great Gameplay
Bioshock Infinite won all sorts of awards at E3. But do you know why?
It's because most journalists and attendees saw the following footage, which emerged on GameTrailers TV last night. You may have seen snippets of the story and gameplay already, but if you watch this complete 20-minute presentation, you'll better understand why this game is getting so much attention. Hell, we want it more than any other title besides Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception.
That first segment right there is enough to keep our anticipation level pegged sky-high. There's just so much to look forward to; everything from the atmosphere to the story to the gameplay is just so beautiful and compelling. We almost wish it was coming out this year...well, almost. We sort of prefer that it'll get some room to breathe after the holidays.

the second game faired a lot better and was at the same resoltuion on both consoles. the only problem it had was some 1/4 resolution alpha textures on the ps3.
if they are using tricks from nuaghty dog i'm sure they'll be able to clean that up. maybe they could contact guerilla games, too. i still haven't seen a fps game that even comes close to kz3 on the ps3.
actually there is another game that used the unreal engine that turned out pretty good on the ps3. that's me2. i think the ps3 version looks a little bit better.
there has actually been a trend of the ps3 winning some face offs recently which always makes me happy. la noire, and portal 2 were clear wins on the ps3.

But Uncharted series is my favorite of all time so I am certainly more excited for Uncharted 3. Then Skyrim. The Bioshock Infinite.

BioShock Creator Says Game Creators 'Need to Be on Mainstream Shows'
Irrational Games' creative director Ken Levine thinks that developers need to take a more high profile approach to promoting their games in the mainstream. He recounted a telling experience ahead of the public premiere of BioShock Infinite's E3 demo on Spike TV to Gamers with Jobs [thanks GI.biz].
"We had a room full of college students, in some fraternity in some state school somewhere – this is about a year ago – and they had never heard of BioShock. None of them. Not a single one," said Levine. "I think as an alpha gamer you assume that, 'whether you've played BioShock or not, you've heard of it, right?' These guys had never even heard of it."
Levine cited the marketing mantra that consumers have to be exposed to something three times before they absorb it. While TV and outdoor advertising are becoming more prevalent, he wants the industry to go beyond that.

Also it's so wonderful how every part "belong" there, it's not just an insane world where "regular soldiers and mobs wander about". All the pieces fits 100% to eachother!
This, THIS is art.

rapture is a perfect example that video games can be art!
thats one thing that makes bioshock such a awesome game, the universe, but also the story, and the history really lends a part to it also.
one reason i love bioshock or even ME is because everything has a purpose, nothing is there for the sake of it, everything is well designed and fits its place perfectly.
both games really do feel like out there somewhere there actually real places.
who know, maybe one day will be hopping on a space craft and visiting the normandy, and running away from little sisters.................
