Saints Row: The Third Platinum Pack Fully Detailed

These days, every big game gets a collector's edition of some kind. So how do you stand out?

Well, you could do what THQ is doing with the Platinum Pack for Saints Row: The Third. It has been fully detailed and this package is crammed full of neat stuff- it includes an Exclusive Custom Molded Saints Row Headset, complete with a vocoder voice processing feature. So yeah, you can call someone up and disguise your voice but remember, this headset is not compatible with the PlayStation Network or Xbox Live.

Then there's the Professor Genki Hyper-Ordinary Pre-Order Pack, which boasts in-game items from Professor Genki's Super Ethical Reality Climax reality TV show. That includes the Octpuss Gun, Genki Stuntman Outfit, and Man-a-Pult Vehicle. We also get the official soundtrack. This game never takes itself seriously for a second. Gotta love that.

That's a pretty sparse CE, especially since the headset is useless for gaming. I bet the game is fun though.

I just bought SR2 off ebay today, can't wait to cause some mayhem during the drought. If I like it I'll think about a SR3 purchase. I think this series is looking more sandboxy than the direction GTA is headed.

I did like it, but I don't think getting rid of all the fun, wild and crazy stuff like jetpacks and planes and the military only to replace it with darts and dating was the way to go. In becoming more realistic it sort of devolved into a "go here and kill so and so" affair.

If you wanna role-play being a real life criminal, then I say they succeeded quite well. But I also like San Andreas best too.

so cant wait to get into this, just such a shame it releases so close to BF3 and assassins creed.
why do the years best games have to release within a month apart?
june,july,august and december pretty much deserted but september, october and november have enough games to keep us busy for years to come!
