Parasite Eve II Will Soon Hit The PSN

The original - and still the best, in my opinion - is available for download on the PSN, and The 3rd Birthday is out for the PSP.

And now, the ESRB has rated Parasite Eve II for the PlayStation 3 and PSP, which typically means it will soon arrive on the Network as a downloadable title.

If you're unfamiliar, this was the highly anticipated sequel to the first title and continued the story of protagonist Aya Brea. Personally, I didn't like the shift from action/RPG to all action; the first gave us an interesting hybrid mechanic that featured a turn-based element, while the sequel was just a real-time horror game like Resident Evil. It was still good, though, and I do recommend it.

By the way, if you aren't old enough, you won't remember all the clamor surrounding the shower scene in PEII. Everyone was talking about how we'd see Aya strip down and while it's tame by today's standards, that scene remains one of the...steamiest in history.

YAY!! I still need to finish Parasite Eve, I keep running out of ammo from being trigger happy. :/

i still own pe2 on disc. i enjoed it a lot. it had really impressive graphics at the time.

Sadly I've never finished the first one, I always run out of bullets and die. I did beat 3rd birthday though, it was okay, (woop for the added shower scene.) I wonder if a Parasite Eve 3 as a full fledged big budget action game is something Square Enix will invest in after the next 10,000 Final Fantasies in development come out. I'd be interested, I like Aya.

I still have my physical copy from when I was younger. I'm glad it's coming to PSN though. Add it to the list of others that are 'suppose' to come, which are

suikoden 2 would be awesome to get. i have the original disc great game my fav series love the 108 stars
